honestly? i dont even know these people besides playing in a few tournaments in the spring with them. the kid is a great hockey player. we play against them during the season and i dont see him getting any additional icetime. youre a mess......i believe that you need to seek help. same with the boneheads posting about dmf, jr canadians and the redwings.

back when the kids were younger and naive about who really runs the show, they may have indeed rallied around their 'leader', but they are old enough now to get it and WG is not the leader on this team. 2 parents pull the strings on this team. On the ice, you might say that 27 is the leader because the team is built around him, but the kids get that too and aren't impressed that one kid gets preferential status and treatment. Why would they treat him as their leader when he hasn't lead them to anything all year and continues to see more ice and have more flexibility within a rigid system than anyone else?

Still an elite program and a good organization. This org. has had the player draw towards them every season for the past 10 year. this team will do fine.

They will be okay as their hope is to recruit and has been the case every year. But they toss kids away believing someone else is better because they cannot develop as witnessed by many kids.

This year and next I see them though in tough with Rebels and pending what happens to Kings...

#12 and #19 were stud players on their teams.

WG has made them into ordinary players with already good kills. WG took away their creativity and that's what made them stand above the rest.

I guess when #27 is the only player allowed to think on the ice it gets pretty confusing for top notch players like #12 and #19.

12 and 19 too small and eventhough they might have some talent, others have caught up with them and surpassed them with talent and size, both set of parents have put these two kids through a whole lot of hockey sinced they were 5 yrs old and looked great when they were young but now everyone trains and work out so that advantage is gone and they look average at best. Yes some of the go to players of minor hockey have been passed by other players and the Marlies will adapt for next season, many players moving out to be replaced by bigger, more talented players. When CM from 96 joins the TM for 97 MM year he and 27 will be unstoppable and they will destroy all North American competition.

In the end everyone when given a chance to play for the countries best Minor Hockey Org especially in MM will take the opportunity.

So their will be some significant player movement at the end of the season, TM will reload and they will be dominating again in MM just as they have been in every other age group.

What will be even funnier is when WG puts his son back at forward for MM and CM is on his line. LOL

You gotta feel for the goalies. Not a ton of work all year, but somehow they probably bear the brunt of the blame for the less than perfect season. It's possible that both have suffered from the lack of rubber they've seen in game situations this year. And no, I am not interested in hearing how they face the best shooters in practice...it's not the same.

Seems to me its better for goalies to play on a team that gets shots, a team that needs backstopping. Thats the way to get better and the way to prove you are a top goalie. While TM might be good for developing D and Forwards doesn't seem to make sense for goalies.

The top rated goalie for the OHL draft in the 96 cohort plays for the 2nd ranked team in the province, Miss Rebels. Another top goalie is on the top ranked team in the province, Toronto Marlies.

Marlies are easy to shut down. Throw a couple guys on 27 high and low and he can't control game without puck. Watched several teams do it at SS. They have another centre who sees ice better and from what limited game action I saw is a much better disher of puck. I would agree team is not well coached.

Timing shifts would be easy as it is the same every game. MS on the ice for 35 minutes. WG jr on ice for 3o minutes. Another 5 players get 20+ minutes and bottom five get less than 4 minutes.

This team would roll over everyone next year if the adults can check their egos, they get a real coach and some way convince CM to stay with the Marlies for his 97 year...I personally don't see all three happening

Maybe moving a few players will create some balance in the league and re-inspire the ones who stay. WG needs to select players and parents as one package. If the parents are nuts take a pass. Its not worth the year long aggravation. Fix a few of the missing parts like net minders and the team will be at the top of the heap.

Maybe if youre complaining about the goalies youre one of the parents that need to go.....

Win as a team, lose as a team. The team is in first, and still someone is "blaming" goalies?? Hel-lo! Parents being critical of other players on the team is terrible, but totally crazy when the team is in first place. So many expectations on the shoulders of 14 year olds that it's fu%&ed everyone up. Starts at the top with the organization allowing parents to run the team.

Sorry, team is about three players rest don't matter in WG imnd. He believes he has one choice and that is play them as much as he can and hope he wins in playoffs. If you look around the league no other team does this. They play all players attempting to get the most out of all of them. So why will we likely fail... That reason! WG can't develop and coach now that he can't rely on a couple of kids to do it all.

You are right about JD. Top player for sure. Top notch parents as well. The only fault ND and KD have is hooking up with LS and his kid.

Can't wait to see this team in the playoffs. JRC's will put up a good fight for sure, as long as they put 2 guys on 27. He doesn't like being checked and hopefully the refs won't buy the dives.

MS is a great kid. Plays up with the 96's all the time and does not look one bit out of place. Hate the parent if you want but don't hate the kid. He and CMcD would be a formidable duo next year

Jr Cdns had 3-2, 3-0 and 3-1 Losses to the Marlies this year. Looks like pretty tight games to me. They could give them a run if the Marlies continue their downward spiral. Go JRC!
