Awww ... your team not get invited? Best tourney in NA bar none. AAA Championships for Minor Midget, Minor Bantam, Minor Peewee. You can't even get in the arenas for all the scouts.

It is invite at MM. There are teams there this year based on last year's results that should not be there.....TRW, MW, HB, GS, EMC

Re: Whitby Silver Stick

November 21 2011, 2:02 PM

A tournament of this size and importance cannot be organized over night. Of course it is based on previous year's results. Think the invites go out Novmber 1st? Some teams will drop below the previous year's talent level. That can't be helped. The teams themselves should refuse the invite, but that will never happen. The chance to play is enough for most and those on the outside looking in are simply upset that their invitation never came in the mail.

Can't wait till October to invite teams, there are always teams not doing as well as the previous season. Looks like a strong line up overall:

Re: Whitby Silver Stick

A little research goes a long way.

North York Rangers were invited this year, yet their results last year were not very good. They finished 8th in the GTHL Regular Season behind both the Toronto Young Nationals and the Mississauga Senators. Why were the Rangers invited and not these other two teams? Was it early season results? If so, how were the Hamilton Bulldogs or Elgin Middlesex invited, their early season was terrible.

Personally, I think North York deserves to be there as they are a good team, but others do not.

Just asking the questions thats all.

The invites are invitations to apply. Could be NYR applied and the others didn't? Early season results/earlybirds would factor in as team selections are first week of October.

London gold coach still trying to get over how his team tied London green the other night. Don't expect much from the spiralling LOndon team...it's all hype from the coach about last year. He plays 7 kids, sagging minder between the pipes >every shot on results in juicy rebounds, and his continuous excuses and pouting will be their demise this year. Too cocky and full of kids who are tired of this boring guy & poor morale amongst the team/parents. This year the team is also plaqued with the nearly all playing HS hockey making them all ineffective, sloppy and above all TIRED.

Just for facts sake, LJK gold didn't run away with the league win last year ! Far from it. The point difference was 1 or 2 pts between 4 teams! Not a stellar performance they want everyone to believe. SC is the better team and has beat them out of the playoffs 2 years in a row. Gold is weak and messed up. No goalies, 18 players and 7 sit all the time, one still lays & fakes all the time(keep ur head up son) but is always on so .......Just take them off the puck and they collapse! They are has beens.....so is their record.

2:11 - You make it sound like they are getting blown out. I believe there was a one goal differenial and a tie... Both games couldn't have gone either way. Sure they didn't win but it was no where near as horrible as you're making it out to be! lol geez...

Re: Whitby Silver Stick

I'm not sure why some people feel the need to cut up BH. If you are an educated hockey person and look at his stats; he has contributed to over 60% of his teams scoring, with only 6 PIM's I'm sure any future team would look at that as a big asset.....how much do your top players contribute to your team?

When you start cutting up a kid, make sure you know what you're talking about.

BTW. Not his father, mother or even his third cousin twice removed...not even from the Alliance.
