Alliance A/AA Minor Midget half way Report Card

Brantford 99ers - Not as good as predicted lots of ties with A teams and throw in a little trailer park lack of discipline and they may be a train wreck waiting to happen. B-

Kitchener - Decent squad with some size and skill, the HC penalties might be their downfall. B-

Hamilton - Not sure what's in their water, but let's just hope the kids don't end up looking like their cavemen neandrathral dads. C-

Oakridge - A lot of AA talent from the LJK, but they have been hot and cold and surely not playing to their potential. Second half they might pull up their socks or else start looking for a good beer league. C+

Stratford - Looked strong and fast in preseason, but I suspect someone has been spiking their water bottles with horse tranquilizer or something with their recent downslide. C-

Sarnia - Another hot cold team who usually give up lots of goals, but have enough offense to even it out however they need to do a little more studying and say 3 hail marys to have a chance. C

Cambridge - Slow start to the season ... actually more slothish, but they just tied Hammy and rumour has it they called a few ex AA/AAA players from HL up to their team. Could be the darkhorse after christmas and may leave a few visiting team's dads scratching their heads wondering what happened. D++

Waterloo - They play strong against strong teams and weak against weak teams .... hmmm ... too unpredictable and they may need to spike their water bottles with Redbull during games. C

London Bandits - The much hyped mighty Bandits have probably the deepest potential and are super fast with strong D and the best goalie pair in the league, but scoring droughts and a few retaliation brew hahas have cost them against the strong teams. If they bring their A game and stay out of the box they will beat any team in the league .... that hasn't been seen yet, but they have shown an A team can play with the big AA boys. B++

Woodstock - Another team with lots of potential if they skate. When they skate and stay out of the box they have a chance otherwise they are in deep cow doo doo. C-

West London - More than a few ex AA/AAA players, but appear to be a little undisciplined at times, if they stay out of the box they can skate with anyone but not sure if they have any natural scoring talent. Probably the most potential to take down a big team, they almost beat the mighty Bandits last week in a Tourney (not verified) but rumour has it they were 0-0 with mintues togo. B

North London - Another up and down team that slayed the mighty Kitchener team with their MD goalie in net. Considering the also have a AAA goalie up their sleeve and a few ex AA players and a couple ex NHLers on staff, but they'll need to step it up or have their goalies stand on their heads to have a chance with the top dogs. B+

Bandits are on top. Built on speed and scoring.

poster is from out of town. FC teams are incorrect. Oakridge didn't return many JLK players. West is a MD team at best. North doesn't have any ex nhl'ers on bench and very few returnees from JLK. SSE is the best in the league. Go Bandits
