isn't Ajax better than E.Gwillinbury ????

Why would you put this Appleword team first, unless of course you are a parent. I have never seen them play but checked out their scores and ranking on Myhockey rankings and the team is not that good. They have lost to many weak teams.

Storm are by far the best team in the tournament. Just look at the overall records of all the teams in My Hockey Rankings.

But in a short tournament the best team doesn't always win. So anyone of 4 teams can win this.

Ajax
East G
Port Credit
Erindale

Vaughan Silver Stick is suppose to be only for GTHL and MHL teams.

Brampton is the OHMA qualifying site.

Can't you understand that Asshole! That is why the teams are where they are.

7.31pm I guess Ajax and EG are from the Gthl as well. They are OMHA teams, qualifiers are open to every Bantam A team. Vaughan just chooses to follow the rules to benefit them were most dont. Doesnt really matter who ever comes out of the Vaughan field will get killed in Port Huron this is the real issue.

Teams are to enter at their Regional Silverstick in their area.
If you are late, then you go enter in other regions where there is room.
Organizers are not supposed to take outsiders if a SS is open closer to the teams region.
But it happens.

Re: Vaughan Silverstick 97A

December 19 2011, 11:16 AM

late for a silver stick !! nice try.
If you would like to attend the vaughan and you are from the brampton catchment
Then you have to get a release from Brampton.

The Brampton boy won't release you until he knows his is full

Why do you think Brampton has 12 teams and Vaughan only 8 ?

Port Credit and Applewood will have a better chance of going to Port Huron, why not work the system.

Re: Vaughan Silverstick 97A

December 19 2011, 2:05 PM

That is bullshit. Each Region tries to follow the rules. We are from the GTHL and we tried to get into the Midland Qualifier and we were told NO we had to go to Vaughan. Vaughan only took Ajax and EG because no other GTHL or MHL teams applied. GTHL and MHL teams get first riority in Vaughan Qualifier.

So STFU as you don't know what your talking about.

Re: Vaughan Silverstick 97A

You're a dope

You tried Midland because of the date Dec.2-4. Of course they said no
Your region is Vaughan .... Dec 27-29 take it or leave it.

PC and Applewood are within the Brampton regional "catchment"
YOU MUST ATTEND YOUR CLOSEST REGIONAL CENTRE

They got a release from Brampton AFTER cheques had cleared from the other 12

Vaughan is a weaker tournament, always has been

The statement below is completely false. PC and Applewood must go to the Vaughan Qualifier first as do all MHL and GTHL teams. The vaughan Qualifier was started a few season ago for GTHL and MHL teams and Brampton Qualifer is suppose to be for OMHA teams in this area.
So call the Silver Stick committee before you post the bullshit below.

PC and Applewood are within the Brampton regional "catchment"
YOU MUST ATTEND YOUR CLOSEST REGIONAL CENTRE

The pool with Applewood , Erindale , EG and Downview is so much weaker than the other pool. Why is this?

Appplewood and Port Credit are about equal based on their league standings. But Ajax and the Royals are both stronger than Erindale and EG. Than Vaughan is strong than the Beavers.

So you end up with the 3 weakest teams in the tournament in the same pool. Unfair adavantage as at teams in the pool get an automatic win over the Beavers.

How and why does this happen. Is it a blind draw?

Just like we thought it would be. The pools were not equal. Three of the top 4 teams in the tournament were all in the same pool. This was supportted by the rankings coming into the tournament. What ever team advanced from the pool with Ajax was going to be in the finals. Applewood , Erindale and EG were all bad teams.

So do we, parents and grand parents all came out to join in the celebration. Kids and parents were all really excited. It was a huge amount of fun. All the TR players and their families had a fantastic Christmas and will have a great New Year as SS Reg.Champs. Winning the Brian Steele was GREAT, this is just AWESOME !

I hope one day you and your family are fortunate enough to enjoy such a wonderful holiday experience.

God Bless
