He has to learn how to skate first. |

if u dont even know what the ohl draft eligibility rules are u shouldnt be concerned about the draft, your kid isnt getting drafted unless he is an elite player in minor midget aaa |

Yup. Every year 10/15 Major Midget's are picked up that were passed over for whatever reason in Minor Midget. If you get an "invite" to skate you can also "walk on" to an OHL team if you make it. Lotsa examples of walk on's who had respectable OHL/NHL careers.

Can't get drafted a year younger without "exceptional status" being granted by the OHL.

if 95 player wasnt drafted last year, and goes through this year without being picked I believe they can go anywhere they want to see if they can make the team |

9:38 - What part of BORN IN 1996 do you not understand?!?!?! |

I guess i should have re-phrased it. Is it a calender year or does it cut off in October. I seem to remember a argument over JT as his birthday was late October and he had to apply for exceptional status to go to Oshawa. |

Once again, BORN IN 1996! |

Born in 96 means just that. As long as you are born in any of the 12 months that fall in the year 1996, starting in Jan and ending in Dec. I hope that makes it crystal clear. Please, no more stupid questions |

if your kid is as illiterate as you are you should probably focus more on getting an education then trying to make it to the OHL |

Does the calendar year for eligibility end Sept 30th? I heard after Sept 30th you are eligible in the next year for the draft and want to make sure? |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: ohl eligibility | February 1 2012, 4:24 PM |
That is only the NHL draft. The OHL Priority draft is for every kid born in 1996. |
