The last few spots for play offs will be quite interesting.
SYB to play LF, HC, MI last two games could make a difference on where SYB stand
MI to play TCB, NT, TRT, HC, TC, SYB need to win a minimum of 3 games out of the 6 its possible but does not seem probable. Where has MI been the last two weeks did they play in the TCB tournament on the week end????
HC to play TC, MI, SYB and TA again need to win min 2 games to have a hope at a spot can't see that happening but it is possible..they played TRT Well.
TA to play WBH, LF, and HC at a minimum need to win two of three for a hope final game between HC might make the difference. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 9 2012, 12:37 PM |
so in other words if the bottom teams down don't win any more games then the play offs stand. Its quite possible to see all these teams win only 1 more game each looking at how they have been playing lately. |

12:01 SYB has to play WBH they will get two points there. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 10 2012, 7:43 AM |
looking at wins, SYB, HC, TA and GPR with 10 wins and MI have 11 wins the difference between these teams is TIES...that is actually interesting! |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 10 2012, 8:29 AM |
predicting a tie breaking game for 8th after all regular season games are finished....probably TA and MI. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 10 2012, 8:37 AM |
so your thinking HC will have a lock in a play off spot, Im not so sure on that. They have a tough remainder of the schedule. |

Its going to be a fight right down to the last game I believe, the teams are really going to have to fight out the remainder of their games. Anyone know why MI have been out for almost two weeks? |

|
Anonymous (no login) | NYK | February 11 2012, 10:59 PM |
NYK is the worst behaved team in the league & the parents should be ashamed of themselves for allowing their kids to behave that way game after game. The bad behaviour is lead by one player in particular. can anyone guess who that player is??? |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 12 2012, 8:51 AM |
So he is back in the line up.........Great (Sarcastic) |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 12 2012, 12:24 PM |
Don't blame the whole team for one player. There is already a team with several bad players and their coaches are worse. Any guesses? |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 12 2012, 4:08 PM |
What number is NYK player? They don't seem so bad to me. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 13 2012, 10:19 AM |
NO but your one player gets all your other players worked up and then they get sucked into his nastiness....its not cool and there are many coaches scouting so that nastiness after the game was seen. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 13 2012, 10:30 AM |
Last few spots open still:
Syb 29 points left to play LF, no chance to win, HC need to win, MI need to win to keep MI at bay.
MI 28 points left to play NT, no chance, TRT, little chance, HC need to win, TC need to win, SYB need to win
HC, TA and GPR all need to win all games to even think of last spot for play offs. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 13 2012, 10:43 AM |
NYK player will never be taken seriously because of his behaviour. GTHL should step in & do something before he causes a bench clearing brawl. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 13 2012, 10:53 AM |
No idea what kid you are referring to. What was so wrong? |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 13 2012, 12:37 PM |
Nothing was wrong. Just the same old Leaside parents complaining. Any team that gives them a hard time they complain about as if it is a gross crime and injustice. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 13 2012, 1:06 PM |
12:37 you obviously haven't watched very many NYK games. If you agree with that behaviour, then just imagine what you teach your kids. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 13 2012, 1:18 PM |
NYK gave LF a hard time?????? they lost 6-0 to the flames don't think there was much of a hard time! |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 13 2012, 1:29 PM |
NYK dominated Leaside physically. They won the game but now can't stop complaining about physical play. Maybe the private school flowers are not used to being hit hard. Get over yourselves Leaside and stop attacking one kid on the NYK team! |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 13 2012, 1:43 PM |
in the end being an outsider not from either team....NYK lost and LF won...NYK not only lost but could not score and you are suppose to be a top 5 team????? The coach should be questioning how to score obviously being physical didnt work perhaps there is a lack of skill and NYK only have the physical ability but LACK in the skill against the better teams. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 13 2012, 2:47 PM |
Physical play is a part of hockey. Keep your head up. Your kids should know that by now. There are a lot of kids in this league who will hit you if you are cruising. Get used to it and stop complaining about it. Leaside likes to hit other teams. Too bad they were outhit in this one. It obviously didn't feel too good to the whiny little saps. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 13 2012, 3:04 PM |
SOOOOOO NYK were physical.......BIG DEAL you lost, you sucked couldn't even score now who has the last laugh..... |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 13 2012, 3:54 PM |
THese final games are really going to really make a difference for the bottom half. Can NYK move a head of TC also? |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 13 2012, 8:01 PM |
probably, tc just roll the lines/goalies, they have no plan what so ever. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 13 2012, 9:42 PM |
TC is much better than described. Good skating team with size. Will compete well in the playoffs. |

NT 4 - MI 2 will MI get another two pts this season? |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 14 2012, 8:23 AM |
7:16 did you think MI would actual beat NT? Next TRT????? |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 14 2012, 8:35 AM |
MI did beat them!
Too bad NT gets to play with 7 skaters!! |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 14 2012, 9:22 AM |
So now MI you have made it easier for TC and WBH to possible gain a point or two or three, but it did not help you in the standings and now make it easier for the Colts to gain more points....NO SENSE!!!! |

Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 14 2012, 10:01 AM |
why should MI care if Colts get more points? Get all the points they want against TA or HC or SYB!! |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 14 2012, 10:42 AM |
NT only play TC and WBH..... wouldn't that be great if WBH took two points from NT......HA That would be fantastic. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 14 2012, 10:44 AM |
10:01 I think TC plays MI also I guess you still want them to get all the points they want. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 14 2012, 11:14 AM |
Did the game between MI and NT result in a number of suspensions? Both teams or just one? |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 14 2012, 11:32 AM |
Two bench clearing brawls. only 8 players left on MI bench and 7 on NT bench. Both goalies tossed. Crazy. Just before the playoffs. What were they thinking? |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 14 2012, 11:35 AM |
This does not surprises me with NT... Were the coaches involved? |

My guess is one team got sick and tired of listening to the other team, same old story. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 14 2012, 11:37 AM |
No brawls, no player suspensions (MI coach may have gotten a few games for throwing all the teams sticks on the ice after the game). Good hard hitting hockey game. Go spread your s**t somewhere else. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 14 2012, 11:40 AM |
how many tossed 10 players + goalie? |
|

Watch for the YouTube clips!! |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 14 2012, 12:37 PM |
The kids that are on this thread should really put their phones away and start listening to what is happening at school today!! Way to many kids on here trash talking and stirring up shit. NT vs MI was an entertaining game. Couple of blown calls either way. Reffing was questionable. This is a possible first round playoff match up. Could be very entertaining to watch. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 14 2012, 12:40 PM |
10 kids from each team tossed. 3 games for most. 5 for some. One of them hit the ref/linesman but it was an accident. Coach from MI suspended. No suspensions for NT coaches. Somebody threatened to call the cops at one point but that didn't happen. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 14 2012, 12:48 PM |
Actually the army was called in, but too busy preparing for the next major 2 cm snowfall emergency. If you fall for the posts above, you really are gullible. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 14 2012, 12:51 PM |
12:37 ARE YOU SAYING THAT MI will drop down to 8th spot, there is no way that TA, HC will surpass them at their current 28 points. Both teams will be lucky to get 2 pts each. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 14 2012, 12:59 PM |
Sorry, I was just having fun. Someone was trolling for suspensions so I gave them some. I wasn't even at the game. Surprised someone took it seriously. Interesting how quick some losers are to jump on the blame bandwagon.
Now the real fun is that the race for 8th is getting very tight. MI will qualify but after that I am not sure. Hillcrest really just needs to win one game and they should get 8th. They will be a tough matchup for NT. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 14 2012, 1:31 PM |
If 12:40 WAS true...then that possible 1st round matchup would fill the stands!!

|
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 14 2012, 2:35 PM |
Was at the MI NT game. There might be some truth to the MI coach getting suspended for throwing sticks on the ice at the end of the game. Don't know if that warrants a suspension or not but the Ref was sure taking his time with the game sheet after the final whistle. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 14 2012, 2:49 PM |
anything thrown on the ice by a player or coach will result in a suspension. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 14 2012, 3:16 PM |
I was told that the term used on the game sheet for the MI coach was "Gross misconduct", and when checked on the back of the game sheet it showed a 7-10 game suspension. That should pretty much take care of that coach for the playoffs (if they make it). |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 14 2012, 3:24 PM |
sorry "Coach" (since you would be the one to see the actual game sheet!) but you are mistaken on your assessment.
Time to get back to your Xbox!

Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 14 2012, 4:32 PM |
No problems "MI Coach". Good luck with the anger management classes. You were very classy last night!!! An excellent role model for the kids. I'm sure the MI parents were all very impressed as well. I'm sure that type of behavior will attract tonnes of players to the MI next season. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 14 2012, 4:33 PM |
Lots of people other than the "coach" see the game sheet butt head!! |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 14 2012, 5:32 PM |
Just asking as I am a parent and really do not know. How do you see the game sheet? Do they give a copy to the coach or manager or something? |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 14 2012, 8:53 PM |
Each team gets a copy - usually goes to one of the coaches or manager after the game. Coaches don't usually share the info unless pressed for some reason. |

Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 15 2012, 7:41 AM |
4:32 you are right if the MI coach is trying to add players next year then that was not the greatest time to lose his head...but he has been suspended already this season so not surprising. I hope parents are doing their homework before calling coaches. You should have the players calling themselves to see if their are opportunities on other teams next year. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 15 2012, 8:04 AM |
tonight TA will gain two points to take over the 8th spot.
TC should eat HC alive however past games indicate that HC have given them a hard time.
MI good luck with TRT tonight, your schedule does not do them any favors. |

Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 15 2012, 8:58 AM |
8:51 just speaking the truth. Your coach has been suspended this season. When he feels the pressure he yells and yells and screams at the players...not nearly as bad as NT and those coaches and their antics. At least when you win coach you hold back on the celebrating. I have seen him out at a couple of games these past couple of weeks watching other teams....I guess that is why you didn't play for two weeks. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 15 2012, 9:05 AM |
yes thats exactly how the scheduling works in the G! Very team friendly league. Just give them a call and let them know your personal schedule beforehand. |

TA are already signed up for Clancy!

NYK Vs. GPR
HC VS. TC
TCB Vs. LF |

TA Vs WBH could be a very interesting game. WBH are quite physical as of late and TA have not been playing well. Never say never. TA tend to play better against the better teams and not the weaker teams...This may not be a NO Brainer result |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 15 2012, 12:20 PM |
one player should not define a team, but perhaps a coach that chose that player should be questioned.... |

ya I'm sure this not his first year of causing sh*t!
Should be a battle right to the end of the season.
Got to figure though one of the top three teams will take the championship. Not many teams below them could cause an upset. |

Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 15 2012, 2:02 PM |
Leaside says they will win it all. TRT will pull their goalie with 5 mins left each game. NT will chirp. Can't wait. I'm hoping for a Colts upset in the semis. |

Right. It's the fault of a coach on another team that a kid you don't like plays for NYK. You must be from LF. Baby. |

Leaside verses Ted Reeve in regular season final game on Tuesday...
In an UNBALANCED schedule, in order for Leaside to hold on to 2nd place, Leaside must win my a margin of 3 goals or 2 goals(if Leaside scored the first goal in the first regular season game between the 2 teams)...
1) head to head record
2) gf/gf+ga in head to head
3) teams that scored first goal in head to head
But does it matter? NO!

LF 11-1 Was that appropriate I mean really!!!!! You wont catch up to NT so why put the team down that way.... |

Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 16 2012, 9:23 AM |
TRT vs LF either team will end up 2nd or 3rd does it really matter whom you end up playing in your first round. You should be able to fly through MI or SYB..... |

Of the bottom playoff teams (if it stays as is) MI had the best success against their possible playoff competitor during the regular season.
HC could still sneak in there if they win both games. |

Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 16 2012, 10:24 AM |
10:14 remainder of bottom half teams for contention as of today
SYB two games left MI and HC can not see them winning both...2 pts max
MI 3 games left HC, TC, SYB may get 4 points, would have to in order to move ahead of SYB
HC to play MI and TA might get two points doubt it though.
TA to play LF and HC might get the two that they need to lock 8th spot
GPR if HC and TA don't pick up two more points could end in a tie but NYK seem to have their number.
It will come down to final games right to the bitter end......so exciting |

Unfortunately NYK is not skilled enough to compete with LF. NYK and HC are the only 2 teams that try to goon it up and neither team will be in the second round and one will likely not even be in the first round of the playoffs. |

2:04 LF won't meet TRT in the Finals. They'll meet in the semis. Then the winner will beat NT.
NYK will be long gone by then and the LF parents can calm down and start complaining about NT again. |

Who would they lose to? LF only lost to TRT and NT. NT only lost to LF and TRT. TRT only lost to NT, LF and TC.
Would be nice to see an upset but not going to happen. Maybe someone will steal a game or a tie but that's about all.
TC vs NYK will be a good series though. |

Playoff picture still up in the air:
#1 - NT clinched
#2/3 - LF & TRT will come down to final game Tuesday
#4 - Colts (will clinch by beating TCB)
#5 - NYK (unless above goalie crap is for real)
#6/7/8/9 - will come down to final games between SYB-MI and HC-TA Tuesday
GPR is out (even though they could technically tie HC if they lose 2, TA would jump ahead to 8th).
Matchups will likely be posted after midnight Wednesday. |

Get your facts straight
(a) All ties for first place or the last playoff position shall be resolved in accordance with paragraph (b) below. All other ties shall be resolved in accordance with the tie breaking procedures set forth in paragraphs (c), (d), (e) or (f), whichever is applicable, below.
(b) If at the end of the regular schedule, two Teams are tied for either first place or the last playoff position, the tied Teams will play a one-game playoff to determine which Team is awarded first place or the last playoff position, as the case may be. If at the end of the regular schedule, more than two Teams are tied for first place or the last playoff position, the Teams will play a single-game elimination tournament to determine which Team will be awarded first place or the last playoff position. A coin toss will determine which Team will get a “bye” from the first game and will play the winner of an extra game between the other two remaining Teams. If more than two Teams tie for the last two playoff positions (similarly, if more than three Teams tie for the last three playoff positions, etc.), then the tie breaking formulas set forth below shall be used to determine all of the positions that are higher than the last playoff position and a playoff game or games in accordance with this paragraph (b) shall used to determine the final playoff position. In all of these cases, a coin toss will be used to determine the home team for each game.
(c) When two Teams are tied for a playoff position at the completion of a balanced schedule:
Lets go for a three way tie, what fun would that be. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 19 2012, 11:10 AM |
That could be very interesting however HC should beat SYB easily with the way they have played lately: therefore clinching 8th spot.
Did the Aces not tie LF so that could be interesting.
MI and TC will be a great game to watch as there is NO love lost between these two teams.
NYK and GPR means nothing to the knights as they will play the TC in play off round and will be knocked out right away. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 19 2012, 11:33 AM |
10:04 am
Nice cut & paste job...but what 3 way tie are you hoping for?
The only possible 3 team tie would be for 7th if MI loses both games, HC ties SYB and loses to TA (who also lose to LF).
Then one team gets 7th by the tie breaker formula (c-f) and the other 2 play for 8th.
There can be NO 3 way tie for 8th since GPR mathematically eliminated due to the teams ahead of them playing each other. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 19 2012, 11:58 AM |
9:34 Obviously someone cares because if they had an AP for 5 or more games than he should have stayed with the team that called him up as per rules. If he hasn't and they only have one goalie than NYK should lose their points as other teams have. Not fair for GTHL to punish some teams and not others. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 19 2012, 12:22 PM |
11:58 if a coach does not put in on the 1 goalie factor than the GTHL will not know. A coach needs to step up to the plate and have this looked into if there is any truth. That also remains to be seen. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 19 2012, 2:12 PM |
I am not with NYK, but there is a way they could have had only 1 goalie, yet still not violated the requirement to have two goalies on their roster. Simply, if the goalie who left the team did not go to play elsewhere, then the team could still keep him carded. This happens quite often where teams card players who never play in any games just to meet the minimum roster requirements. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 19 2012, 2:48 PM |
Oh no. That would upset all those NYK haters who want them to lose points for some manufactured reason. Strong? If 33 goals in 36 ganes is strong and none in the last 3 games then I guess NT was lucky to get the win as you say. |

Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 20 2012, 9:41 AM |
I'm a Willowdale parent, NT NOT limping at all. The play was in our end the entire game. Our goalie made a number of good stops, puck just wouldn't go in for NT. Thanks Blackhawks for an enjoyable season, good luck to all of you................. |

Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 20 2012, 12:57 PM |
Well some big scores going into the last game of the season. SYB vs MI...neither team has played well but I will give the edge to MI.
HC Vs TA that will be a good game to watch, HC should win but you never know with the Aces!
LF VS TRT that is the game of the evening.....will it be a slug out match. Should be hard hitting and good paced game.
The closeness in games from 6th to 10th made for a very interesting season, too bad GPR couldn't win some earlier on or at least got the ties to go with all the wins!!! |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 20 2012, 1:48 PM |
I disagree about the LF TRT game. That one is just about pride. The other 2 games will determine who gets into the playoffs and where they will rank. If Aces win and MI lose they should end up having to play a sudden death game for the final spot. That is far more interesting than the fight for 2nd or 3rd. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 20 2012, 2:32 PM |
or if HC and TA tie and MI wins, then it will end up MI 6th, HC 7th and then SYB in 8th. |
|

Aces won't beat HC. HC seems to be playing much better right now. But if they do, then it gets really interesting!
My guess is LF and TRT will both mail it in. Won't be much of a game. Small rink. Not a lot of room. Don't expect much. |

Any way you look at it the top 5 teams are totally in a different level then the bottom half. With ties and 1 point only holding them all hostage. Hell its only ties that have seperated them all apart. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 21 2012, 9:26 AM |
You are right the top 5 teams are in a class by themselves. They really don't need to sweat in the first round of the playoffs. They will likely rest the better players on the team for the 2nd round. Just don't want anyone to get hurt by playing a series against a shitty team. Too bad they don't have more competition to get them ready for the next rounds. |

The top 3 teams are superior. TC are a lot better then 5-10 but those teams can give them a game. NYK are a very beatable team. Teams 6-10 are all pretty much equal. SYB are probably the worst team of all heading into the playoffs and are not playing good. They need a big win to get them back on track. It would be cool to see a playoff game between MI and the TA. Both teams will last 3 games vs NT but a tiebreaker game would be interesting. |

no issues, but thanks for the concern. |

MI loses 9 of the last 10 games beating only TCB and their is not issues? I'm calling BS on you. |

Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 22 2012, 9:17 AM |
8:35 there is something not working on your team. Enjoy the Founders as you will be out quick. The way the team has been playing you don't belong in the 8th spot. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 22 2012, 9:51 AM |
MI has been imploding for the last month or so....not surprised at their recent results. They will be fine dining for NT |

755.......Show some class for one as you may be EATING your words before you know it. Good luck to all teams. NT vs LF final with NT winning. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 22 2012, 10:33 AM |
Should be an exciting playoffs. Agree that LF and NT should be in the finals. LF may take a best of 7 series, but this season has been a little unpredictable you just never know. Good luck to all the kids!! |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 22 2012, 10:38 AM |
NT won't make the finals. TC will beat them. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 22 2012, 10:41 AM |
10:38 good luck with that, Tc will get by first round, the rest is a crap shoot. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 22 2012, 10:42 AM |
as long as TC don't get caught up with all the NYK shenanigans! |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 22 2012, 10:47 AM |
NT,LF,TRT will win 3 straight easily. NYK may win a game but will likely have a number of suspensions in the first game. NYK will be running the one goalie they have constantly. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 22 2012, 10:48 AM |
Correction: the Colts will be running the lone NYK tender! |
|

they have been practicing that for some time now |

TRT is a much better team than HC. Should be a 3 games series. |
|

Game one was a close one. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 24 2012, 9:21 AM |
TRT 5 HC 4 ..... I didn't expect that.....Good for you HC don't go out without a fight. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 24 2012, 9:39 AM |
The TRT-HC game was very exciting to watch. The referee obviously forgot to bring his whistle.....no penalties were called. TRT's strength is its skating and as the last guy said, HC never gave up. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 24 2012, 9:40 AM |
Don't encourage the mouthy goons on HC to fight. I heard the game was penalty free is that correct? Hard to believe that with this group! |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 24 2012, 10:19 AM |
Hillcrest has nothing over the Knights! Those are mouthy, chippy players...glad my son is not associated with that team. |

yup!
They are embarrassing!

Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 24 2012, 10:45 AM |
Not sure what you're talking about. The game was physical but not dirty. Fast game that could easily have gone either way. The ref put his whistle away and let the players play. Good luck to both teams going forward. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 24 2012, 1:29 PM |
And the fun begins....Who will be first to be knocked out? |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 24 2012, 3:34 PM |
My guess is the top 2 teams will sweep their series, after that I think there will be some close matchups. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 24 2012, 4:02 PM |
Top 3 will sweep. TC vs NYK could be interesting. |

Tc vs NYK will only be interesting if the players fall into the trap of this team which is plain and simple to get under your skin other wise should be an easy sweep for the Colts. |

Top 3 sweep first game but interesting game with TC VS NYK, any one there 5-4 Colts..surprised at how high the score was???? |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 26 2012, 11:42 AM |
why neither team have great goaltending. NYK using any other goalie? Maybe time for a callup!! |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 26 2012, 12:09 PM |
TRT and HC were also 5-4. I think 3rd tp 6th place is much closer than top 4 or 5-8. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 26 2012, 4:30 PM |
Don't think so. TRT will sweep HC. It was one game. Just two games left in that series. |
|

|

It's playoffs, anything can happen. It happens at all levels of hockey, do you not watch the NHL playoffs? |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 28 2012, 12:15 PM |
But what happened? LF cold? SYB goalie stood on his head? LF outplayed? Penalties? |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 28 2012, 3:29 PM |
LF thought that the 2nd game would be as lopsided as the first (only 6 shots on goal by SYB in the entire game).
They scored first and it looked that way.
But SYB were outhustling and winning most of the 1-1 battles. Pretty soon, they were up 3-1 and then LF woke up too late. LF carried the play in the 3rd but SB goalie played well and that was it. SYB just wanted it more.
If LF play soft, they will lose. If they take the series more seriously, they will win. |

|

Bruins are outcoaching LF and it is that simple. LF are playing like the Bantam Girls league. |

SYB and LF match-up will be a long hard fought series with Bruins winning in the end. Bruins are the darkhorse team this year and will win the second round as well. But it will be very tough for them to go any further. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 96AA East - Part 5 | February 29 2012, 2:04 PM |
Ya OK!!!! Darkhorse??? Please, they do not have the horses to make it by LF. LF by 4 tonight!!! |
