Best programme I hear is HC in the East , maybe too far for you though |
|

How do you say HC is the best program in the east when it's a start-up that hasn't had a real season yet? |

what the heck did DH do? nothing that's what he did. He tapes games to show how kids can improve he sharpens all the kids skates and helps where he can, what the hell is wrong with that, nothing is wrong with that nothing.
this team has done well they are a team because the coach is a great coach and DH kid is a great player and if you knew anything about hockey you would see that, Leave the family alone.
Put some constructive things on this website or just wash the dishes. |

who cares - none of them are going to the real show so let them just enjoy the game. Some will be drafted OHL but there's no CMD, BB or MS on this team by a long shot |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 Titans | June 22 2012, 11:22 AM |
Sorry we have one better than BB! |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 Titans | June 22 2012, 11:30 AM |
ON Titans??? No you don't. He's good in GTHL, but BB is the best goalie in Ontario. TT goalie does not have to carry the team - they have/had great D. BB is way ahead on skill and talent. You did not hear it here first and you will see it April 2013. Not pimping, just fact. If you don't like that, we can discuss again after draft. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 Titans | June 22 2012, 11:31 AM |
Okay goalie Dad! Pimping is not healthy for you or your kid. Arrogance filters down to the kid and it affects his play. Confidence is one thing, but cockiness is destructive. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 Titans | June 22 2012, 11:33 AM |
Agreed. Watch what the quiet confident tenders do this upcoming season. If everything in terms of ability was already decided, then we wouldn't have to play the Minor Midget year, would we. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 Titans | June 22 2012, 11:34 AM |
the TT goalie is way overrated...over looked at the All State camp and the OHF camp...hmmmmmmm |

|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 Titans | June 22 2012, 11:38 AM |
So destructive and such dent in his confidence that he is selected for allstate? Yup, kid's confidence must be shattered. LMFAO - this kid is going to do great and I am not his dad - the sad truth is you 97 gthl parents wish it was his parents pimping him all the time because that would justify the fact that nobody is talking up your own kid, but it's not - have you ever considered that it's just other parents who are secure enough to recognise when a kid has talent and maybe enough to go to the show. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 Titans | June 22 2012, 11:40 AM |
11:33 - wouldn't HAVE to play the MM year? Talk about living thru your kid! Shame on you. WHy is your kid in minor hockey? Oh ya, the multi million dollar career |

|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 Titans | June 24 2012, 12:52 AM |
^ a kid does not have to be on a winning team or have a cabinet full of trophies to be an outstanding player. How narrow minded and obviously jealous of you. Hello - Allstate! |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 Titans | June 24 2012, 1:10 AM |
allstate lol all the kids deserved to be there except for the bought ticket for BB. there are other goalies who have won and been key players in important games which is why they have won stuff. BB has no consistency and you never know what goalie you are getting in the game. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 Titans | June 24 2012, 3:11 AM |
Boy, you jealous G parents are going to be in my thoughts when this kid gets drafted highest of all the goalies, followed closely by cambridge. These 15 year old kids have more chance of making it to the bigs than any over-inflated G goalie |

|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 Titans | July 5 2012, 8:15 AM |

must be a different my, or a different team, cuz the one i've seen is certainly not good enough to warrant unbiased praise from random well-wishers. do you go around to all the other threads and try to get people to guess who is going to be drafted in the first couple rounds cuz they're so good? didn't think so. i'm sure he'll have a fine year and you'll enjoy watching him. leave it at that. |

|

not this year, just wondering how those ahead are dealing with the draft year. apparently, some people come on n54 to pimp kids who aren't even their own and aren't really that good, which is pretty weird and pretty much unheard of on n54. maybe you could pimp my kids, too. cuz that will surely help their chances of getting looked at by "the scouts" you speak of. |

Some kids are looked at earlier than others - usually because a scout sees something - it happens. Get over it. If your kid is good he will get attention early. If not, there's still time to improve. |
|

Some kids grow early and max out. Some kids grow late and peak in midget and jr b. Shit I have seen house league goalies in bantam go pro. |

Uh, actually he's right some kids do get looked at in major bantam. MM year they are all looked at. A kid looked at early is no garantee. As someone else said, they may have peaked already and others will catch up |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 Titans | July 11 2012, 8:46 AM |
There are always examples of great things that happen with growth. Look at Quebec kid who was 5 ft 6 in mm/prep and ends up 6 3 in prep then goes 14th overall in nhl draft to Calgary. He was written off in bantam hockey as too small and too easily knocked off the puck but he could always score. He grows late at 17 and now a 1st rounder without even playing major junior. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 Titans | July 11 2012, 8:56 AM |
Where did he play before getting drafted? If not in major jr how did he get noticed? |
|

|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 Titans | July 11 2012, 5:24 PM |
If you are good enough then they will find you always remember that it is so true. The kid was always a good player but was deemed to small. Hers is article in National Post below:
In December, he happened to be in Quebec to see another prospect — who, because of injury, ended up not playing. That left Weisbrod with a gap in his schedule. Button told him to fill it with a trip up the highway to see Jankowski.
So Weisbrod pointed his rental car into a blizzard — and away he went.
Beyond the kid’s name, he knew little.
“I can tell you I was in a bad mood — I was driving two and a half hours through snow,” said Weisbrod. “But by the middle of the second period, I was laughing out loud by myself in my seat.
“He’s a long way away, he’s raw, he’s young, he’s still got to cross the crocodile-infested waters and develop properly — like, it’s a long way from draft day to play in the NHL — but the physical attributes this guy has. The athleticism. The skating. The hands. The fact that he’ll likely be playing at six-four, 215. I’ve said it to our scouts all week long — he’s Joe Nieuwendyk.”
Jankowski has bloodlines, too.
Grandfather Lou Jankowski played for Detroit and Chicago. Uncle Ryan scouts for the Montreal Canadiens.
And Jankowski’s great-uncle? Would you believe the legendary Red Kelly?
But the kid himself did the convincing.
Not only did he ace three interviews with the Flames, he did wonders on the ice.
Jankowski, who doesn’t turn 18 till September, tore it up for Stanstead College, piling up 94 points, including 53 goals, in only 57 games.

Is this same kid who was cut by Hamilton Jr Bulldogs bantam AAA team? |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 Titans | July 11 2012, 6:14 PM |
he has a brother who is a 97 who was cut from Hamilton but I think he was cut too. Great family great kid, and he did it by himself for sure, now it helps if you have an uncle who is in Central Scouting. But who cares if the kid isn't good enough I don't care who your family is you probably not going to get drafted in the 1st round.
Good for this kid he works really hard and it shows. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 Titans | July 11 2012, 6:30 PM |
so how did the kid get spotted just playing h.s. hockey? Seriously, without connections how realistic is it for a kid like that to be "found"? It would be interesting to hear the whole story on this one. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 Titans | July 11 2012, 10:35 PM |
Oh, they will find the good ones, no matter where you play. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 Titans | July 12 2012, 12:13 AM |
I don't know why you morons keep saying that. Truth is, if he's good enough, he'd be playing where they'd see him anyway. Ya, ok, one time some scout drove 2 hrs through a fucking snowstorm and found Roy Hobbs. Well sorry to burst your bubble, but that's not going to happen with your AA kid who of course should be playing AAA if it weren't for the bullshit politics keeping him down. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 Titans | July 12 2012, 8:42 AM |
Bud take a chill pill. Coaches make mistakes and cut kids sometimes who are great players. In this case it was all about his size. He was very small in bantam mm midget and grew late. There are other examples of pros who grew late. They are always found. Think about it on your mm team how many kids are 5 ft 7 or less? The Euro kids tend to grow earlier and others grow when 17 and 18. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 Titans | July 12 2012, 10:21 PM |
Take a reality pill dipshit. Coaches cut players whose parents think they are great players, and they tolerate asshole parents to keep the great players. And it is illogical and impossible for you to say the good ones are always found. How do you know how many kids who were or could have become great players were, in fact, found. It's one of the most moronic things ever spouted on N54, and that's saying something. |
|

Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 Titans | July 13 2012, 10:31 AM |
If you are talking about a kid (AC) then shame on you. Anyway there is plenty of time to grow - scouts know that |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 Titans | July 13 2012, 11:39 AM |
who cares how the kid got found or the connections he has, he is a player that worked really hard and got ripped it up in a Prep school. I am sure he would of ripped it up in AAA in Ontario too, great for him I hope all kids can get inspired by this player.
If a kid that is in AA does as well as this player and rips it up I am sure they will be seen.
AC kid is a great player and keeps getting better and better, also he works hard.
I can say all the Titan kids do so that is attributed to the coaching and the type of player this team seems to always get year after year. |

Titans did not drop over the years. The past season's team had the most depth to date and went to a 7 game semi final with the Marlies who won it all. End of Story. Now, like every other year, take your dim witted opinions that have never been accurate and pick a new hobby. Why? Because you are not very good at this one. |

I don't want to pick apart kids here, but if you are going to put a name out there, be prepared for others to do just that, especially as the MM season goes along. All these kids will get looked at, so you don't need to throw out their names here. If they earn it, they'll get drafted. You aren't helping. |

Wait till April people - everyone's growing, some are not growing as fast - whether or not kids are being looked at now is not relevant - in the GTHL, unless your initials are MS, Marlies, nobody else is big enough of a superstar to start claiming first round pick just yet. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 Titans | July 28 2012, 7:47 PM |
I wish people would stop comparing the Titans and the Nats. Although the players that left will be missed, they have been replaced. Let's leave it at that. |

When I look at Marlies roster I see MS as a legit 1st rounder and thats it. When I look at Titans I see goalie as a 1st rounder and thats it. Actually as I look around most of teams I see very few real 1st rounders. Where the hell are they? much more talent in OMHA this year. |

TT will not have 1 single 1st rounder guaranteed. Likely weakest year ever for G but still 5 to 7 1st rounders possible. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 Titans | July 30 2012, 4:38 PM |
5-7 G first rounders??? like who? |

If you use the Allstate invitations as a guide, then there are two first rounders in the G. DS and MS from the Marlies. So much for the mighty G...Hell the SCTA will have more first rounders. |

Why do you idiots always assume it's the relatives "pimping". |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 Titans | August 2 2012, 6:36 PM |
Ok, family or friend of the family. Because when it's consistent and about a kid who is average at best, you are definitely not just some casual, unbiased observer; you're "pimping." And an idiot. |

Yep, then in May you'll be on here spouting off about how it's all unfair, how everyone bought their way into the draft, etc. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 Titans | August 2 2012, 11:16 PM |

|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 Titans | August 4 2012, 8:47 AM |
it's not a conspiracy buddy. Posts are deleted when a kids real name is used |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 Titans | August 4 2012, 8:50 AM |
Some people just dont understand the rules and then they think something sinister is going on. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 Titans | August 4 2012, 12:25 PM |
Nope . Thanks for the advice though. Been doing some testing and in the posts refereed to no names were used at all. These posts were questions that hit the nail right on the head. Like this one will LOL |

I thought his kid looked pretty good last year, definitely has improved a lot, although I hear he spends a lot of time in the sin bin. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 Titans | August 5 2012, 3:24 PM |
He might get drafted late, and probably TT, too, definitely not the other one mentioned here, unless it's a favour to somebody in round 15. Too slow, no hockey sense, crazy family. |

ACs kid getting drafted wow
Lucky his dad is coach cause he is a house league level player |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 Titans | August 5 2012, 11:59 PM |
What's this bs about AC's kid improving his skating? The only time AC's kid can skate fast is after he's speared another kid from behind and he's trying to get behind the first big TT teammate he can find. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 Titans | August 6 2012, 12:21 AM |
No one said he improved his skating, but you seem to know a lot about it all, maybe you're a recent departure? |
