Now the LJKs have picked, who looks goods?

Looks like West and the Bandits lost the most players. At least west gained a goalie. I don't think Oakridge lost anybody and North lost 2 players.

So who looks strong at this point? I wonder if the perenial wipping boy of the FC Oakridge could come out of this looking pretty good.

Tryouts start this week, lets have some fun with this.

The league will be horrible for all these teams. Bandits and West lost their best players, no A/AA division split at Christmas. FC A couldn't compete with AA last year, and this year will be a lot worse. 3 LJK teams is a disaster for FC A.

I think the only team to not loose anybody was Oakridge. North has a lot of kids just pack it in because of the what has happened there in the past. Everybody is in for a long year. Why can't we just opt out of this AA bs

Last year the 96 FC competed okay all season in A/AA even the weaker FC teams had some upsets. And there is a split, but it happens in the playoffs with a AA Championship and a A Championship.

4:30 FC sure did compete? maybe the Bandits, Oakridge lost 25-2 or something like that in their 3 game series with LJK.

Heard rumors of a West London / Bandit merge for the 97 division with the west coaches from last year. Anyone hear about this? only 10 or 11 skaters at the west tryout tonight

This should make for a very competitive FC team, I don't know about beating LJK but at least they wont get blown out.

Why West and Bandits? Bandits have huge numbers, can see west and Oakridge or west and north or some split of that but west and Bandits....

West and Bandits lost 9 players from last years A teams to LJK and both organizations are struggling to fill separate A teams with real talent. If they don't merge for the 97's I wouldn't be surprised if one or both fold to MD teams.

That is the same problem Oakridge has been having for years. No numbers.

Add in the fact that Bandits don't have a coach it seems this merge is inevitable.

Bandits had something like 45 kids tryout last year, had 2 MD teams. Cry me a river you lost 9 players to the LJKs, think west lost 6, north 2 and oakridge only had two kids tryout and both are back.

Not complaining just stating the facts. Based on registration #'s neither org. can support their own A team, its either merge or Fold . Unless a lot more A quality players register in the next few days it will happen.

its MM - kids quit, go to HL/ MD and with no tryout progression MD players do not have to try out for A .

Using that argument North, West and Oakridge should have folded to MD teams years ago. You guys have already merged with LMHA and your numbers easily double the others in terms of registration. So you won't be the strongest team in the city (you may still be).

Re: Forest City 97

May 15 2012, 10:09 PM

2 seasons ago West '96 merged with North '96 due to low numbers .... not an association merger just a team merger and only allowed if tryout numbers are low.

Remember the Bandits '96 won the AA last year with no LJK, but there were some very good AA teams in that league and NO their isn't a toilet bowl, but rather 2 championships A & AA

When West played with North it was played under North with North having more players. But im not sure if there is a rule for who they play under .... i'd guess they'd play under West since they have a coach. All players still pay their respective associations i believe for registrations.

Then add in all the kids that quit or drop down to HL at the MM year and you get some really weak FC teams.
