The coaches I hear are good guys from a parent i know on team. you are right the team is huge but very slow. It looks like they have to play a physical game from game we played them this week. Lots of penalties from ref were bad calls both ways. Their defense is very weak so easy to beat them. Their scorer is hurt so no threats on offense. The goalie played well otherwise score would have been higher.

MHL has to deal with these issues. Never seen a fight where kid who got knocked down with right hook to head gets the 5 min retaliation penalty. When a 15 year old kid gets up they are going to fight back. He pushed kid back a couple feet with glove/cross check to head and gets 5. It was a nothing event and way overblown on here. The refs seem to think they will stop by punishing 1 team. This is hockey. One player goes hard to net and defense stands up for goalie and squirmish breaks out. MHL a hockey is a pansy sport. It is a politically correct league. Any decent hits are penalties.

Too bad it happened as the ensuing 5 0n 3 and 5 on 4 power play goales turned game into a reffing decision. That said maybe it already was with 1st goal that hit post and never crossed the goal line where 3 refs who could not keep up to play decided was a goal. I was on goal line at same end and saw it up and personal.

The only event that was midly serious was spear to groin of LP goalie in 3rd after whistle when game was over. Stick penalties are what should not be tolerated. There is no excuse for that.

LP is a very big and slow team that looks disorganized and they gave up after the power play goals.

ME is a small very fast squad that looks organized and they are played hard from beginning to end of game.

552 take a look at refs view. LP kid bumps goalie. ME defense puts him on his ass. No penalty called yet. If LP kid skates back to bench then thats hockey part of game. The LP goalie played great, bad call on the first goal, yes we all know it. Whoopee shit it happens, bad bounces in hockey happen.

I heard 5 kids on ice at end of game on both teams were suspended at end of game for fighting. There was a mix up by ref and he got the numbers wrong on both teams. If MHL had the nuts they should suspend all those kids on ice fighting for a few games. I hear it was all caused by a spear from the Meadowvale goalie who should get same. All coaches on bench should get same suspensions as players for not controlling their players. This way both teams get delivered a stern message that this type of behaviour is not acceptable in the MHL. A meeting where everyone says they are sorry and both teams get slap on wrist is a waste of time. No one else in this league wants to play either of these 2 teams as they are both dirty.

Both of these teams have dirty players who come to the rink with the intent of trying to injure players on other teams. That has nothing to do with hockey or finishing their checks and since both of these coaches are known for not controlling their players they should be suspend for the balance of this season including playoffs and at least 3 or 4 of the repeat offenders on each team should be gone from the league.

I sent two letters. One to the MHL and one to the GTHL.

I would hope that some concerned parents would write to the MHL about the behaviour of these teams over the course of the season. The coaches are not interested in controlling the actions of their players so someone needs to step in and let the MHL know this is not acceptable in minor hockey. These kids can go find another activity.
