How many will make the ohl club? Midget teams are filling out quickly now.

Some kids are working real hard, others are eating hamburgers and at the cottage all summer.

The reality will hit the loafers pretty hard in September.

The beginning of the end for hockey will be starting shortly for some.

Have the Senators and Red Wings padded their pockets enough with their weekly $45 skates? Have the fathers of those skating finally got the message that those teams are after their money and not their kid? The clubs and the G should get after those teams for their planned rip off tactics, but then again, they're all in on it.

If the dads are willing to pay, why should the GTHL or any other league step in? Who are the idiots, the coaches running these or the parents paying?

The one I love is the ex-Rebels coach who now has to drag his kid to crappy Senators/Red Wings skates ALL summer to try and catch on to a team. Looks good on ya Brucie, after all those years being all high and mighty....F you!

I`ve seen this scenario a few times. Guy is a coach in minor atom all the way to bantam and keeps his single A son on the AAA team and a bunch of his friend`s kids as well. In minor midget, when things get a little more serious and the organizations look for real coaches, these guys and their kids are left scrambling. It`s always sweet justice for those people whose kids were cut by these guys to see them scrambling to find a team.

end of September, early October.

most AAA skates will have stopped for a couple of weeks with players heading down to the USA for tournaments and such. Should be all up and running again by the first week of August. And then you will start to see the coaches watching some players. By third week of August cutting starts as coach hopes to star to get boys back from OHL and JR A camps.
