Cryonics "is" a religion, in my view. It's NOT strict science because it is consiste of scientific speculation rather than established principle. We "hope" it works. We "think" it will. It's more a scientific religion, but a religion nonetheless.
More importantly, from my persepetive, I think it can be financed as a church. In my case, I'd like to start a trust called P.A.L.M. Cryonics Trust. The pool of funds will be a "go between" between the cryonics org and the church member. More at TRUST - PALM Cryonics Trust... in the INDEX.
