That's a pretty clean looking car. Is it original paint?

Yes it is,
It's got a few stone chips i'll have to sort out,

The O/S/R arch, rear quarter wants attention,

The rear hatch door where the lock is wants a rub down & repaint,

The front lower valance & behind the grill want tidying,

Other than that it pretty good.

Hey Steve! Thats a very tidy and original car you got there, apart from the 2.8 interior but thats much better than a laser interior Your strut tops look like new! Very jealous

What's you plans for it? Keep it standard-ish? Use as daily driver? Just for shows?

-Chris

Hi Chris,

Plans are swap the 1.6 for 2.0, But for now keep it standard,

Just done the valve oil seals with the CVH top hats & new belt,

I have got the bolts undone to drop the crossmember & they are seriously corroded,
A big thanks to Mick at MWR for a new set ! (came this morning)

Thanks Steve.

I've done the jobs i needed to do,

Renew valve oil seals,

Replace timing belt,

Removed sump to check oil pick up pipe, change oil pump with a std one while sump was off,
Oil pressure is now at 3/4 mark on tickover, was at 1/2.

I dropped the crossmember to get the sump off, the four bolt come out with no problems ( used plenty of WD40 )

This is what i saw,

I have replaced them with new ones thanks to mick at MWR £17 inc vat & post.

Steve.
