If I'm not trying to sort thru which pellets or gun setup to use, I generally will NOT practice unless I have someone else here to shoot with ... its simply too boring to just practice. Its for this reason I so rarely even shoot more than one card with any one kind of pellet or gun setup even in testing.
Even the tunnel I built so long ago was intended to (and does) limit my need to shoot more when testing by eliminating the wind variable. Trouble was, I couldn't shoot at closer than 51 yards, and I sometimes wanted to know what was going on at around the halfway mark.
At 51 yards, I often got sixes and sevens ... X's were REAL rare on the same target, and I thought I should be able to stay at least in the eight or nine ring with a rig that could shoot "possibles" at 27.5 yds.
It does seem as though the spread at 25M is less than the longer (51yd) distance would indicate it would be, but one target doesn't teach much, being just a sample of one.
