Point 1: If we assume Genesis is meant to be true, it is either meant to be literally true or it is meant to be figuratively true - there are no other choices.
Point 2: When Gen.1:1 is meant to be literally true, then, given what it poses and how it does so, it is both invalid and unsound.
Point 3: When Gen.1:1 is meant to be figuratively true, then it could mean lots of things, one thing it most certainly means is that it's not literally true.
