I: I agree that the flood story relates to a great local event; however, the narrative leading up to the flood tells a tale of corruption of the flesh and of the spirit which, for me, more than suggests that nature had a little help in washing away a lot of sin.

You: "The plagues, if they occurred were likely natural as well."

I: It's the "...were likely..." part of your reply that gives me pause to ponder if it takes more faith to not believe than to believe in the tales from the Bible.

You: "I imagine we probably will differ on these."

I: Yes.
