Yes, I read it. I have several of von Daniken's books. I have his first one, "Chariots of the Gods", and also "The Gods were Astronauts", "In Search of Ancient Gods", and "Gods from Outer Space".

They are very similar to Zackariah Sitchin's books. Just a bunch of baseless claims, non-sequiters, and wishful thinking. Claims like "because the Egyptians worshiped the Sun, then OBVIOUSLY their gods were from outer space".

What do you find so compelling about that particular book? You believe it just because von Daniken said it's true? Don't be so gullible.

And why did you avoid my question? Can you tell us what a "missing link" is supposed to be?

"My last vestige of 'hands off religion' respect disappeared in the smoke and choking dust of September 11th 2001, followed by the "National Day of Prayer," when prelates and pastors did their tremulous Martin Luther King impersonations and urged people of mutually incompatible faiths to hold hands, united in homage to the very force that caused the problem in the first place." -- Richard Dawkins, The Devil's Chaplain (2004)
