Organisers of the event, which will take place on Saturday, September 10, have revealed the flying display is taking shape, with the Vulcan added to the line-up.
The announcement comes after volunteers with the Vulcan To The Sky Trust, which restored and operates the last airworthy Vulcan delta-winged jet, expressed fears this month they may already have had their last Leuchars Airshow, as they needed to raise at least £15,000 to make bringing the Vulcan and its crew to Fife a viable operation.
However the target has been reached and the Vulcan will be one of the star attractions for the 50,000-plus visitors expected to descend.
This year marks 100 years of military aviation in north-east Fife, and the Vulcan XH558 will join the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and the Royal Navy Historic Flight in celebrating that history.
