Wenge will not openly take action nor condemn the actions ...why? because that is his election strategy right there - he wins by getting votes from the outter parts and rural areas of Morobe - not Lae City. This uprising is Morobe against the Highlands so he won't say much against his Morobe voters. There you go ...Luther Wenge has started his election campaigns already. And despite what the people of Lae city say about the roads, lawlessness etc, this type of Ethnic bond runs deeper than all over the above issues so Wenge has a good chance of winning back, this time with a greater margin if this ethnic tension continues into next year and to the elections - and I am sure that will be the strategy by Pro-Morobean's to keep the fire going for as long as they can. Morobeans in this situation will feel safer with a Morobean leader in power. Not any white or highlander as Governor.Welcome to PNG Politics
