It is not meant to be intellectual but Sir Amet, still the one

This is essentially a live discussion. There is no research, no methodology, just people interested in the same things speaking their mind.
Sometimes our biases also enter into the debate, we need to accept that this is likely to occur. Just read some of the other threads on other subjects and see how skewed those ones get.
At the end of the day, mipla Madang, mipla sapos lo gat pasin, Maror yumi save kolim. Maror dictates that we treat each other with respect, that we talk about issues with an interest in finding a solution.
We should never forget that. If we can all agree here about what is good for Madang, then we can ignite the discussion back home so that our people can also do the same. Ples bagarap bai yumi go lo we? Mosbi, Australia? Mi ino ting, em ples ya, we will all go back home, whether you are Bundi, Raicoast, Bogia, Madang, Sumkar or Ramu.
Mi yet mi ino laikim Yama, Jim Kas o James Yali. Mi still laikim Sir Arnold yet.
Bikpla samting, we know that Sir Arnold is a good man. He showed his colors by speaking out against the removal of Chief Justice, Oneil denied it and told Sir to retract his statement. This week, they removed the CJ. We know now that Oneil government is a government of lyers. No matter how they color their lies, they are still lies. We know that Sir Arnold is an honest man, he will speak the truth from his heart, we know he cares for the people, we agree he is a bad politician but the events of the last two weeks proves that Sir Arnold is learning fast to anticipate the political swampt in Waigani. Politics is a dirty game in PNG, we have a clean man like Sir Arnold trying to play a dirty game. This is why I think it has taken him so long to learn the bad tricks but he is doing it well I think.
Sir Arnold cares for all Madangs, not just Karkar islanders, that is the mark of a true leader. Sir Arnold wants social justice for all, that is why he struck out at Ken Fairwether, bcos, Karkar islanders have given away all their land to white planters. He does not go and hand out cash to people, he believes in hard work. I admire that.
Importantly, he is learning the trade and he is getting better. He will not get drunk and hijack a plane or rape a woman, he will not steal land or money. We need a leader who will bring out the best in Madang, not enrich himself, Sir Arnold still lives at Nagada and lives a humble life.
