My sentiments exactly. There is an old saying-"Beware of Greeks bearing gifts".
Have wondered how lucrative his law firm could be that he can be giving out such large sums of money. Not just now but for the past couple of years.I did actually wonder who was funding him and it looks to me like another Wari Vele dispensing largesse that was mainly from others with their own vested interests in having their own puppets in place
The Philanthropist doesn't need your useless vote.

The good Philanthropist doesn't need your useless vote. You can't make a one little difference so keep your little nose within your own little conclave.
The Man is Morobe's Choice.
Yu ken drink kol wara na het pen stap..
Before we start to create stories and post our assumptions of Mr. Naru, the readers here would appreciate if Meri Wau and Hadapa can list what Wenge has achieved for Morobe and his people?
We would appreciate also, if you can convince the readers here, that the charities and caring acts of Mr. Naru are only gimmicks, to win the election?
I would only state by record that, Mr. Naru's kindess goes back some 20 years ago. It is Naru's nature in caring, and helping out those in need, and I must say, PNG is blessed with Naru. Thank God for creating such a kind hearted man.
Good people have good intentions. And Naru is one of those few good men around, who is ready for the big job of serving his beloveth Morobe.
This is ridiculous that you're on the internet, you don't have to put down your name, and still you're too frightened to just give this so called philanthropist's name.
We are rats compared to the bravery of our ancestors and this is a beautiful example of how frightened we have become.
There will be no melanesian spring in the cards for us, like the arab spring uprising that occurred in large part because of chronic corruption. People risked and even gave their lives to get rid of corruption.
You'll never see us doing that. We're far too afraid to do anything that might make the corrupt topshots cross at us.
NAME THE NAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
;) We are not afraid to name him, you as well as every literate Morobean know him. Why? Because the Morobe Philanthropist have been a good friend of the media as well. Every donation to the cash strap ELC PNG is being widely publish by the media.
I would like to encourage all Morobeans to be weary of the Philanthropist, I would rather he continue his good work as a Philanthropist and not as a politician come June 2012.
We had enough of these sort of leadership, we need a different style, someone who can find solutions for our current challenges.
You folks ARE frightened to name him! Not everyone on scape is a Morobean and knows who you're talking about. But still you won't give their names. That says a lot.
Corruption will never be stopped when such small things frighten people like you into submission.
Morobean voters already are weary, very weary. Weary of all of politics.
However, I suspect your goal is to make Morobeans aware and for them to be wary.
Big difference between 2 english words. That's why our teachers kept trying and trying (without success) to convince us to read and write extensively so we would not later on make a fool of ourselves writing english!
The fact is that Kelly Naru gives money to more than Morobe and Morobeans. Thus, it is possible this isn't political. Does anyone have any firm basis for thinking that the money he's giving out is not his own?

Naru continues to help needy
By Mal Taime
The Kelly Naru law firm has continued to dish out funds to assist institutions in the Highlands region. On Sunday Naru principal Kelly Naru gave out a total of K55,000 to churches and schools in both Western Highlands and Chimbu Province.
Mr Naru gave K10,000 to Milep Lutheran High School, Evangelical Lutheran Church (Hagen district) K10,000, Ogelbeng Lutheran Seminary K5000, K20,000 to Yani Seventh Day-Adventist Church for renovation and pledged K10,000 for Evangelical Lutheran Church administration at Ampo in the Morobe Province.
He gave out the cheques before the packed Lutheran Church congregations at the installation of Reverend Rauke Rawa as president for Evangelical Lutheran Church president for Hagen district.
Before presenting the cheques Mr Naru told the congregations that it was important for Christians to love one another so that God would love them. “Lutheran Christians must follow our motto ‘walk with belief, man and woman, love God and walk around with other Christians’,” Mr Naru said.
He urged the people to cement their business for God because God had blessed the people in many ways and they must help those who were in dire need. Headmaster Gabriel Murang thanked Mr Naru for donating the money to the school, saying that the school was in a bad state and needed money.
Mr Murang said they needed money to do some work and Mr Naru’s donation towards the school was a timely boost and would be put into good use.

We need to have a knowledgeable person who can tell us the SOURCE of the good lawyer's money that he is giving away. If he's overcharging big companies and passing on the money he makes, then I'm all in favour!
IF YOU CAN'T BUY THE VOTES, YOU CAN'T BE ELECTED IN PNG!
December 14 2011, 5:27 AM
In every electorate, there are people who have come to see this reality - you MUST buy votes or engage in voter fraud if you wanna win. Those realists are the ones who will win in 2012.
We need to have a knowledgeable person who can tell us the SOURCE of the good lawyer's money that he is giving away. If he's overcharging big companies and passing on the money he makes, then I'm all in favour!
u seem to have some personal grudges with the philantropist
April 29 2012, 11:53 AM
u sound and seem to have some personal grudges against the Philantropist. You and Dona.
Let me tell u 2s something. Charity has been part his trade mark since time immemorial. He even donated to the Australian bush fire appeal. He is a very success story in the law fraternity. In fact, he is a hard worker, whoa has earned himself as a millionaire, with his very successful Law firm. He may be, part Simbu but he is morobean by blood. And mind you, true blooded Simbus will even win some of morobe open seats, and you twos shall pull out your eye brows..
He is Morobe's choice. Period !!!
Just to remind you Lutherans of Morobe. Our current Governor was the Chairman of ELCPNG synod and he used his position to influence our Lutheran members through their District presidents, Parish Presidents and Congregation chairmen to be what he is now.
What has he done for our province as a God fearing man as he said? He is the worse governor I think.
Now we have another one popping up. I heard he hosted a big feast at his Yalu village and invited all the church elders to attend. Included in the list were some songangs from Ampo (ELCPNG H/Q) and too top it off is the Head Bishop, Giegere Wenge who is the governor's own brother.
Inap lo faul faul...
Rausim Wenge na putim Kelly Naru kam insait. Morobe bagarap olgeta lo han blo Wenge, na yumi longlong yet la putim em kam insait lo '07..
Inap nau lo longlong..
Votim rait man kam insait, na displa rait man em Kelly Naru tasol.
Tingting nating nating. That's basically what you've just written.
You've given absolutely no justification for your predictions. You're embarrassing all PNGeans by showing the world that we're still cargo cultists rather than rational thinkers, coming up with things that pop into our heads and just assuming they're going to come true.
People on scape are crying out for some substance, not one posting after another from empty heads like you. Wouold you consider (just this once) trying to put up a posting with some substance in it?
Bata, tok stret yu tok. Mip'la ol mangi Morobe i tait pinis long ol giaman man. We want to see real leaders who will make a change and leave a legacy for our children. Maski nau long usim lotu na support b'long ol songang.
I will vote sincerely knowing that my vote either will be thrown away, won't be counted, or substituted with another vote. And I'm a lucky lucky lucky voter because my name is actually on the rolls (and maybe also on the rolls of other electorates for all I know).
Where were you when Luther Wenge was first elected as the duly member for Morobe Regional the first time? Don't waste your time arguing when he is a full-blooded Engan adopted by Senior Wenge when the MP was a small boy. You put Luther Wenge (Full-Blooded Engan) and Kelly Naru (Half-Morobe and Chimbu) which one tipped the scale? Stop promoting ethnicity
Interesting that if he was being such a good philanthropist and everyone appreciated what he was doing, why didn't he just keep doing that kind of good. Why would he want to be in the corruptive environment of politics.
Or maybe he was playing a game all along.........?????????
