Papua New Guinea's prime minister has announced he now wants to reverse a controversial decision to delay elections by six months.

In a statement, prime minister Peter O'Neill says parliament was not properly briefed on the issue and he now wants elections to be held closer to the expected date of June 23.

In a way,if the common roll is not ready,no point going to the pools as it is unfair for the ones who won't be in the common rolls. To avoid such things as double voting, ghost names etc.
