Enga can unity or break

February 12 2012 at 8:21 AM
New man

The time as come for all Engans to unite as one people and select Enga's true son for leadership. It is really small thinking to say I am May or Leapo, east or west Enga. Let's focus on our strength and build on what unites us as a people especially at this time when the whole country seem divided.
Sad to seen that we as Engans are driven with personal agenda more than our provincial need or the need of our fellow man for that matter.
There must have been a reason why the creator that the our Fore Fathers worhip gave us one language. It know a time is coming for Enga to raise up united in heart and purpose.I know if only Engans look who we are as people and know what we have, we can make a positive difference.
The current political crises is partly what we as Engans have created because of our pride self-centred and personal Ego. ( should our Enga leaders have worked together this crisis would not have happened) What as happend is history we need to more .
Engans have big heart to give, a quick spirit to forgive and forget once peace is made. we speak one language one culture .This is our strength as a people group. All these is positive energy that we can build on to bring a positive change.

So I call upon all Engans to raise up together as one people and choose who will truly represent us in 2012. Let's not vote for what we can get out or what is it in there for me. Lets not take sides based on my wantoks or tribes man . Let evalute on personality , profile, work ethics , good track records and policy and which political allegence his /her connected to and their policies. The bottom line is do I trust him/her? And can they deliver?

This is the same theoretical nonsense that we're getting right now from the politicians themselves.

GET TO THE SPECIFICS, MATE!!! No more of these meaningless generalities!

Please suggest the specifics. Love know what you see. What is going to unite enga together ? what is our strength as a people group. Even ants work together in a colony to their survival and advancement . We can learn from that.

ENGA FOR SANDY TALITA

February 16 2012, 10:37 AM

I have seen Sandy Talita's network too powerful to defeat Ipatas. can anyone confirm?

yes sande talita

sande talita network powerful but....

February 16 2012, 11:22 AM

Sande Talita is hot because he started campaigning 5 years ago. Now if you don't know Governor Ipatas is always voted out in every election but he wins. The problem with Sande Talita is he needs to try and get in touch with some of governors strongman around Wabag. This strongman make it happen in the counting room. Thats where all the action happens. In the Enga Regional election a candidates must be a person who can tame the people in and around Wabag Town.If you do that you are definitely going to win. So in this election Sande Talita is hot but will lose as he thinks he can win with other Engan from other districts. Pundari did that didn't work,Mathew Parap did that it didn;t work.

Unity or disunity

March 8 2012, 7:40 AM

Engans are ambitious people who can one day deliver a PM, you already have quaite a number of MDs, CEOs and etc for PNG no one can deny that. You have leaders with the intellect, stature, and status to harness your cultural values complemented with one language and a bit of wisdom to realise the Engan dream.PI had set the stage as governor for a number of years now. What is the Engan dream, not just an individual one, or tribal one but as a province? What are the impediments to a united Enga?.

divided

March 8 2012, 5:20 PM

literally enga was divided and split because of the love and respect its leaders have for old Somare. Engan leaders have demonstrated the true melanesian and highlands hausman leadership by respecting their elder statesman regardless of how knowledgable or educated they were. it is only through their loyalty and sacrifice that result in O'neil becoming the next PM from the highlands.

now our leaders in the likes of Abal, Polye, and the rest are back in their own hausman, they somehow have to seriously make peace to lead the country in the next five years. otherwise, SHP would want to maintain their pride having had the PM going into 2012 elections while WHP,Chimbus and EHP will not want to be spectators.

United Enga will make a difference in determining who will be the next PM in 2012. If you see Engan leaders "brukim sugar" just fasten your seatbelt and watch this Engan Dream 2012 become a reality.

The Engan dream is to get into power and get as rich as you can as quick as you can. That's the dream, it's no more complicated than that. Ipatas set the standard and now we're all dreaming of following in his footsteps. Steal, steal, steal!!!!!!!

Re: sande talita network powerful but....

May 27 2012, 9:59 PM

You're absolutely right. Sandy is hot only because he's been campaigning a long time. He would turn out to be every bit as corrupt as Ipatas if he's elected, but that neither concerns you or the voters of Enga, does it?

Geee, no wonder Engans elect one corrupt leader after another. As an Engan, i have been disturbed and embarrased by what comes out of our voting boxes. But now I can see the reason clearly as I read the postings of youse peoples!

SANDY TALITA FOR 2012

March 18 2012, 10:56 PM

Yes, I confirm that he will definately win this coming election for Enga Regional as he has already been chosen. He will win because he is so powerful and very smart in the counting room in Wabag in which he has infact gone through successfully two times in a row for the current member for Wapenamanda and he is used to all this smart moves and tectics in polotics.

Unlike the previous Peter Ipatas challengers, Sandy Talita is well prepared by all means to defeat our current governor and he will be our next governor for the changes in Enga Province.

Good to have a list like this. Engans need to see who really has the heart for the province and vote for him/her. Don't vote for your cronies. They just give you K50.00 today and tomorrow they go with millions into their persoal account. Be critical and patriotic for your province.

Sandy Talita is a male, not a female - the fellow who played a major role ensuring that foreigners would make the most money off of our PNG gas resource, and us PNGs would be left with the scraps (and the stupidest thing of all is that we celebrate the LNG project as being some wonderful contribution to PNG's development).

Lets Unit

May 27 2012, 9:43 PM

How can a strong foundation be planned and erected if there is no unity?
In reality in every aspect of live, society falls because of no unity. Divided we can fall but
United we can stand together in every circumstance.

Therefore, if we are given one big opportunity .ie. to speak one language, why should we misused the chance? Please Engan, now it is the time to see great changes. We are now living in the a competitive world where everythig seems compact by human technology.Come on lets not waste time on baby staff, if Iraq can build a necular power plant why should Enga..! We can do it if only we put our ideas and knowledge together. Lets united as one Body and keep the planet going..

I would like to thank Our Action Governor Peter Ipatas for great investment for the future of the Enga Province.. Be with you always.. Action...

waimir governor

June 6 2012, 8:09 PM

Waimir is the most liked candidate. During his nomination, enga scientists confirmed that he would win the current election agst ipatas. His nomination was very emotional and organized unlike other regional candidates who nominated during the same week.
Talking about unity, waimirs policies are the one to depend on. His speeches are very constructive n powdrful event to the extent of making all women folks and few men to cry. He has got a team of waimirs from upng who are from all parts of enga which already is a sign of engan unity. Vote waimir in for united enga.

Elvis or waim ir is only a youth. How can he manage to unite a big enga. Ask him to unite with a girlfriend first before he unites the whole of enga. Such singles who do not even know how to love a girl n has faild relationships with girls can't unite enga. Enga is too big for him...... ,,,,,,, ...... ,,,,, .... Tok abt other potential agents of unity.

Do not convince for rich

July 7 2012, 11:21 AM

Do you ever realize that Barking Dog Never Bites. I'm pretty sure that anybody on the streets can come up with the creative policies to convince people to setup his or her own backyard. You can talk like a cascading water but putting into action is another chapter. I think Waimair and other regional candinates in Enga province are just like barking dog. If I were one of them I would have confessed to the people and say, Hon. Peter Ipatas had his shares and grown his backyard so give it to me to be like him. That was the straight policy to convey.

Nowadays, Enga scientists are fake and one sided cause their prediction seems to be confussing and putting the answers into their canadiates shoes. Unlike in the past our ancestors were neutral scientists without formal education. Therefore, don't just say your best frend is gonna win because after all you will loose everything.

Finally we must know what Action Governor is doing. Don't be blind because we know how people in our society operate pig. The people who operate pig can get best part of the pig but he gives at least everyone a share. If we appoint greety people into the parliament they will consurmed your share and double up with his and you will run around like an enemy to him.

Therefore, trust nobody but ACTION GOVERNOR Tasol

What is wrong with Governor Peter Ipatas? I am an outsider but I have read, heard and seen from every corner round the nation, people talk about great things he had done for Enga as well as other provinces too. I personally think that he had proven himself as a servent Learder. Sorry no offense to others..If I do, I stand to be corrected..

Sorry, mate, but you're not comparing very hard.

Enga Province - site of one of the largest gold mines in the world for many years.

Now look at the place! Where is the development?

Enter Peter Ipatas, PNG's only HIV-positive governor, leader of Enga for 10 years.

Guess who's been stealing all the money?

Re: Enga can unity or break

July 9 2012, 1:06 PM

Peter Ipatas has proven that he can lead Enga but he simply does not possess the charisma and leadership quality to lead PNG.

What more can he do when Enga politicians dont even rally behind him or support each other on the national fronts on issues of national interest.

Peter Ipatas and Don Polye will lurk in the shadows of Somare forever, chasing the dream that one day, they will, like Somare, lead this gegreat nation of ours.

Engans leaders are too proud, arrogant and talk too much. This causes disunity among all Enga MPs and we may prowl around forever for the PM's job. Our leaders must learn to be humble themselves if they ever want to lead PNG. Sam Abal is one exception.

Over to you elites of my mother land, Engaland!!!!!

Your should know that leadership begins within your family. Leadership bigins at home, society and where you are now. If you manage your family's affair well then you the leader. If your society admires you then you are the leader. If Peter Ipatas can lead the arrogant and unique Enga, why not PNG??

Leadership is earned from the family base. And as such Peter Ipatas has the charisma to lead the nation.
Just put away your arronace, jeolousy and hatred behind and support Peter Ipatas and you will see the changes in Enga.

Pokole Puspate, you are small time "mumu hole" politician. Your level of thinking and arguments reflect your level of intelligence - a typical village leader from Enga. Full stop.

We are discussing the level at which Peter Ipatas will lead PNG. He does not even posses the necessary credentials, skills, vision, and the intelletual sophistication to lead PNG into the oil and gas boom era.

The sun is setting on his political career......almand'oooo

You are a lady-type of leaders who don't appreciate and support but critices good leaders.A selfish and arrogant full of supersitions and fantasies. Your discussions and your understandings are mere dreams.

Bro, if you were the governor of Enga (not Ipatas), you would tuck whole of 100% Engans resources into your own pocket. As from a village leader I would level you as a 'a dog who barks a lot but doesn't kill a cuscus'

Ask your own brothers to measure your own leadership style. Peter Ipatas has beaten you and is beating you again.

Khaliala, you go and jump in the lake with your sophisticated leadership skills and capabilities. PNG today doesn't need a leader who has sophisticated skills and knowledge to lead.
Our nation needs a leader like Nelson Mandela and King Martin Luther who had no good education back ground but they led the blacks with all their hearts and integrity.Peter Ipatas has the HEART for ENGA. We want such leaders to lead the NATION.

What kind of sophisticated leadership skills are you taken about. People of Enga will reject you outright. You will not even gain any respect from your own people.

You need real leadership training skills...apply now and challenge Peter Ipatas again in 2017. \\Byee..

My fellow Engans, Emb Endan Save Nii and Pokole Puspate, Peter Ipatas is not the best that Enga can proffer to PNG for the top job. He is not Prime Minsiter material.

There are better Engans leaders out there. Somare put has not removed the leadership napkin from Peter Ipatas yet, so why the rush? Until then, we Engans will be forever chasing an elusive dream.

Enga Will Unite

September 17 2012, 11:19 AM

Enga will never unite and thats for sure. Enga will still live a stoneage life and thats for sure. Engans can boast of their qualifications and interlect but will still belong to the primitive and stoneage world and thats for sure. How can you claim to be a so-called educated elite and yet suck your enemy's blood? Why would Don Pela Sana or Don Polye and Alfred Manase arm and endorse war and yet call themselves as elites of Enga? Why did Sam Abal and Don fight over power which resulted in their own downfall? Why do Engans still roam the area with killer weapons when everyone else in the country had stopped tribal warfare? Shame on you Engans - pull up and do something about it. YOU'RE STILL NOT EDUCATED ENOUGH.
