All wabags, would you please give me this golden chance to reign Wabag for at least five years? You have been reigning for ages and even let me in the most remote place where I have to survive with snakes, morans and even had this hardship for ages. You can't just ignore me like this as we are just another human beings like you.
Please cast your vote on Paul Iparas, the one and only who is capable to change right honerable Same Abal. Paul Iparas is a sole son of Maramunin People who is highly educated with the Degree in Accounting and has in fact been on the job for the last fourteen years with PNG Mining companies. His profession is much much more higher than just being an accountant and he will put a good show for Wabag and Maramuni constituencies in terms of bringing in development required.
Wabags, if you are still gready then MASKI NA LUSTINGTING, we'll challenge and see who wins this time. Maramuni will use all the bush power and resources we have to win this election so just be ware that PAUL IPARAS will be Wabag/Maramuni Open Member and the only reason for him to be a member is to build WABAG MARAMUNI ROAD for our most forgotten jungle people, no matter if he will have to be the member for at least five years or so because Maramuni is so desparate to have road service.
PLIS KAIMS, TINGIM MI BUS MANGI....VOTIM PAUL IPARAS TASOL for 2012 for the following reasons;
- He is highly educated with university degree in accounting
- He has only one wife
- He does not give cash left right centre
- He is very much loved by every human beings he approaches
- He has potential in leadership quality
- He has good sense of humour
- He is fare minded person
- He thinks of others first before himself
- He is God fear person
- He is capable to lead you and me and represent us in the parliament
I ones again beg you all Wabags, please give me this golden chance to lead Wabag/Maramuni for the sake of Wabag/Maramuni ROAD. I might give you back the member as soon as the road is completted.
Malai Bus Mangi for Paul Iparas....Your Number one vote for Paul Iparas please!!!!
Would you please specify his education level and the kind of qualification he pocess that allows him to stand for this years election challenging Sam Abal? Engans will really have to screen the leadership quality the potential candidate's pocess so if he has this people loving heart then why not vote him in? Sam Abal is a good leader too so I think we will have to leave it to the people of Wabag and Maramuni to decide who to vote for.
I don't really know what level of education Paul Kurai has but what I know and almost every citizen within the Wabag Electorate know is that Paul Kurai is a natural leader in his own right. Being the son of a colonial leader (Kurai) Paul naturally possesses the qualities of good leadership. When we talk about leadership we mean possessing the ability to lead people. I agree that education is an important part to it but is not only the requirement for good leadership. Someone can be well educated but that does not gurantee him to be a leader. Leadership entails a fair knowledge of your people and the ability to direct, counsell, instruct, protect and assist the people that are under your care. I personally think that Paul Kurai has that ability even if he hasn't got a academic degree.
As you have justly said Sam is also a good leader in his own right but the recent turn out of events at the national level seems to pose a few negative impression on his leadership. I think and I hope many people do agree with me that when he had the highest post on the land but was not really decisive. I suspect he was being manipulated by others. Therefore, I had lost my trust in him. Now its up to the people whom to choose. PK or Sam.
Paul Kurai is a son of a Kamaniwan leader and he is more socialable and likeable by many Engans generally and has basic education which he can use to speak at National Level. He is also a good orator in the Engan language and always a smiling face.
This man has been giving generously even before he became a businessman and now a intending candidate. He has the gift of giving. He is open to anyone and is somebody that one would get to know him without any difficulties. He is charming? If he was a young man, he would be any woman's dream. However, now he is a committed family man. He would be one of the best candidates for Wabag Open Seat for 2012 election. I know most of you who read this would agree with me if you know him.
Sam Abal is gentle as a dove and quite intelligent and knows the system of government. He is a son of a well known leader in Wabag, Enga and PNG. He was initially thought as a man from Pawas of Wabag until Daniel Kumbon's latest news article which suggested otherwise. It doesn't really matter whether he comes from Laiagam or Tsak. What matters is that, Wabag Electorate has been blessed by the Tei family's leadership since 1964. Sir Tei is remembered more in Enga and PNG than any other past Engan leaders.
Many people think Sam is a weak or not an alertive leader but who is better than him in terms of education, administrative experience and so humble and thrustworthy. Correct me if there are some evidence of misuse of funds in the pretext of Wabag Poultry Project in colloboration with semi educated Council Presidents as was reported in the newspapers. They hold signatory to that account in person rather than in their capacity as council Presidents. Sam too might have put his signature as Sam Abal and not as Member for Wabag. What will happen when he looses the election? Would the signature of the account be changed to the new in-coming member and the council Presidents? Sam is a man of God who was prayed over in Wabag by a group of Pastors when he was then the Acting PM. He can thruthfully and fearlessly explain the allegation of misuse to the Wabag people before the election and have the records set right.
I hear other names like Paul Pandan and Robert Ganim whom I do not know much
thus I am not able to comment.
Anyway, its election time. choose the right candidate. By the way, any Malums putting up their hands now for Wabag Open? I think Sam is giving you a good road. You might like to re-consider your position though Sam is apparently dragging this project. Kurai or Abal? Or another? Have your say?
I am a simbu man I heard about him from far distance what he has done for the people & the church long time ago so all the enda kali please vote such a good man like him. so that he can help the people of Wabag open. Sam Abal come from a good family but looks like he is not honest in his dealings.
Our most corrupt PNG pollies are sociable, likeable people with smiling faces. Peter Yama is a beautiful example. Let's not continue this silliness. We need to use more substance when choosing our leaders.
A member of parliament from Hela told me last year that in the national parliament all the leaders, including himself are corrupt, except Sam Abal. You can not corrupt Sam with money or anything. I think Sam is one of the best, if not the best national leaders this country has produced. All of Enga and Hela should be proud of him. I think the nation loves him. I dont think anyone is Wabag or Enga for that matter can match him. He is a governor or prime minister material. The nation is looking up to credible leaders like Sam to provide servant and godly leadership and take the nation forward!
Em holim stia pinis tasol, guria guria na lusim. Bai em kamap long kain mak gen olsem wanem? To be a good leader you have to be courageous. Not to be manipulated by others. Tea boy blg Somare. Sori tru...
Engan Beauty you are right. Sam seems to be a good leader. I think one good leader among a all lot of corrupt leaders did not do him any good during the time he was action on the top post. I think people should vote for such a leader. But I am not home and I don't know. Just heard that his Lusim Gan na Holim Sapol policy didn't go too well with the people. Is that true?
Sam's lusim gan na holim sapol policy is going very well considering the circumstances that saw him elected in 2002/2004 by-election. He has managed to turn Wabag into a relatively peaceful part of the province. As I understand it, the first stage of this policy was to encourage people to move away from the gun culture, and pursue greater economic activities. In his first term he began by encouraging mobility in the area with sporting tournaments etc. for children that would allow parents and guardians to move around and support the children. From 2007 onward, he encouraged people to take up a constructive tool, sapol, to develop long term economic stability in the area. A good example is the chicken processing factory and vegetable processing depot he has set up to benefit the 3000 local farmers that have registered businesses to raise chickens and supply the factory. In terms of economic impact, this is huge. The factory is almost complete, and is a cooperative enterprise. Furthermore, he has begun a market development in town, that will benefit not only his people, but the people of other districts that come to Wabag to sell their produce. I think perhaps his biggest achievement is the Maramuni road development, which has cost to date roughly K800,000. Now, a group of people that were once isolated from the rest of the District will have access to basic services thanks to this initiative. The list of his projects is impressive, perhaps most impressive to me, the community college class rooms that he has in containers ready to be set up in Wabag.
Sam has always had high profile and demanding national portfolio's to manage. I think his greatest achievement is that he has remained true to his moral beliefs, and always had the needs of his people at heart, despite how far his national obligations have taken him. He is a good and incorruptible man, perhaps the only one in Waigani. Engans should be proud of such a leader, particularly when each of his fellow Engan leaders have questionable reputations.
I hope the people of Wabag return him to his seat, he is the last hope for all of us as Papua New Guineans. We are so jarred by the years of greed and corruption that we think it is the norm, so when a humble leader who actually serves the needs of his people comes along we perceive his style of servant leadership as weakness, but it is not.
Sooner or later the nature will expose everyone who talks alot on media and public places as the most corrupt leaders.
Just watch and see, Sam is the right leader who will stand out in the next government. There are many like-minded aspiring leaders like Sam in the independents who will team up in the formation of the next government.
I admire Sam and if he is true to what we outsider see then the nature will reward him. We wait and see.
Hmmmmm... Sam Abal or Don Polye's Cash Cow aka Paul Kurai

Abal getting rid of the leeches

By WEST ENGA REPUBLIC*
The headlines today are telling of what has been really happenning behind the backs of hard-working Engans, The National Alliance Party in the only highlands province to bring in nearly 90 percent of voting population to the NA Block in 2007 appears to be cracking. Sam Abal has decided to crack the whip by removing Don Polye who was the Deputy Leader of The National Alliance Party and the Minister for Foriegn Affairs.
The problem Don Polye does not understand is that once he is written off, he stands no chance of getting back the power he hungers for, he is weak, shakey and very emmotional, it is not what he can deliver in 2012, it is the basic fact we the people of West Enga see him as a weak parasite who feasts upon the ignorance of the Party Caucus. It may be fair to say he is the most experienced in the current stable of MPs but his traits dont speak any volumes. Comparing him to Mr. Sam Basil who happens to be a 1st term MP and in Opposition, Mr. Basil has delivered far more services than Mr. Polye in the 10 years as a Minister when he first got elected.
Now I want come back to my previous point of the love relationship between the the characters that decided to meet up and expel Sam Abal. I am no fan of any of these people, but unfortunately I live in the District and I could say I now know why this meeting was convened, you see, the Millions and Millions of Kina accounted for by the Works Deparment whom Polye is Minister has gone missing in years, no serious investigations are done to uncover the rot and theft in the system.
So why is Paul Kurai crying faul over Polye’s sacking? Polye is Paul Kurai’s cash cow. Paul Kurai has become a multi-millionaire over night on the backs of Don Polye. So has Don Polye benefited from Kurai’s purse? You bet. It is not only Polye that Kurai has jumped upon, Governor Peter Ipatas is also in the circle of those people who offer him tender for works in the Province. Paul Kurai is now feeling the pinch that if Polye goes, there is no way he is getting the millions siphoned through the ADB or World Bank. He should keep his loot from Polye’s so called works contracts and shut up. He is a pest with his K1 construction company siphoning money with Polye. Look at Kandep, no way near; people are still waiting and road network is very poor and Kurai lives off Polye and now saw fit to expel Abal.
Abal is the son of legendary Sir Tei Abal and is a career diplomat who operates professional and has the right to sack ego filled, typical highland bigman type Polye, who has achieved nothing as works minister, all the road networks in PNG have collapsed, airports, ports etc as well under Polye’s eyes. Such is a weak leader with a big mouth and ego filled heart.
My advise to acting Prime Minister, you are doing a fine job, get rid of these leeches, they are living off money meant to bring development to our Province. On top of the sacking, Abal should get the Fraud Squad to seriously investigate the company holding of Paul Kurai, Rex Paki and Kundapen Talyanga. They have a love hate relationship, too much politics, time to clean house.
I support you for rescuing the poor people of Enga and PNG, Don Polye is Minister for treasurer, isn't he.Now we know where our money has gone to. I think Enga as well as PNG must think first before they vote.We don't want any thiefs or corrupted leaders . As far as I know Sam Abal, is a God fearing man,he has got qualities for good leader,he has got knowledge and commitment, willingness to look to others for support and he is very open.As soon as he become the prime minister of PNG, you will see the country will turn down side up. Because he is open to change and a desire to go the extra mile. He could not do that previousely because somebody is on his way.
I think Sam is actually God Fearing through practice. I watched a documentary on Kundu 2 called the road to Wabag last week. Everyone said the same things about Sam, one of the main things they said, he was God fearing/strong christian, like his father. Other leaders, his own people all said the same thing. One of the interviews that stood out for me was when Dame Carol Kidu said he practiced servant leadership, much like the jesus style of leadership. I think Sam walks the christian talk, and that's what makes him a 'God fearing' leader. I hope he keeps his seat. Does anybody know when counting begins in Enga?
Unfortunately those who are exceptionally God fearing also tend to be exceptionally reluctant to fight the strong battles that are needed to fight corruption. It is not enough for Sam Abel to not be corrupt himself - he needs to make more of an effort to speak out against this cancer that is destroying our country. God fearing people are not fighters, they're sheep, and that's the problem with them actually being able to stop such major problems as corruption. Sheep never lead, they follow.
Anonymous, yes we have seen and heard of Dons Cash cows buying big properties and business in Australia, building luxury mansion all over PNG.Engans knows every movement of fellow BIG SHOTS from Enga in POM.Prime Minister Peter O'NEAL is Don Polys lover, people of Enga must know that.Somebody mentioned in the Highlands Forum that Peter O'Neal took part in the NPF money stolen by BIG SHOTS in POM and nothing has been done about it.
Why PNG government is covering it up and no further investigation has been done. Iam a public servent and I WANT MY MONEY PAID BACK;MY NPF MONEY that I sweats my guts for.I have had big plan for my NPF money. Will they pay it back or whats happening? Fellow public servents of PNG,you have had money in NPF to. WHY yous very quite and letting it go!
Yes! Infact there are couple of intending candidates from Maramuni for 2012 Wabag Open but among those many, you will have only one Maramuni's only son challenging you fellows from Wabag Home Town. I bet you should have your eyes at your back too as he will be outnumbering your candidates anyway. By the way you will always claim a victory from the Tale-room/counting room after declaring all Maramuni ballot boxes be Null and void as usual but some one has to challenge some one from some where...It's polotics anyway.
For the people of Maramuni to vote him again will be a real disgrace as he has not delivered. What has he delivered for Wabag and Maramuni when he was the Acting Prime Minister for some months. For somone to preach about Maramuni road is a mockery because there has never been a road.Maramuni people have been very faithful to the late Tei Abal and now to Sam Abal but he has not shown that he has a strong support in Maramuni,we are not fools for someone to say that services are being delivered. We have few Maramuni leaders who stay very close with the MP but these guys appear to be yoyos, the voters concerns/needs are not made known to the MP and those so called advisors of Sam Abal think we are fools, goods and services should be delivered to places like Maramuni or else your chances are very slim. Our fathers from Maramuni had to give undivided support to the late Tei Abal when his own men from Wabag usually challenged him until 1982,we had our own man so he lost.
If Sam Abal does not collect majority votes from Maramuni and does not get re elected again I blame you short sighted so called advisors, you have not done enough and you have been the big fools.
this is ******** stop campaigning for others online its international everyone can see what you write for a person!! please stop because the world right now is making fun off PNG and its elections, this is humiliating and a disgrace!!
