Marshall Law imposed in elections - Kerenga Kua

June 14 2012 at 8:08 PM

According to the report on Post Courier dated 14/06/2012. Since independence in 1975 O'Namah government is no nearer and is directly in control of PNG disaplinary forces. This government of O'Namah have use excessive force in the country's 2012 general election compared with other previous governments. Papau New Guinea disaplinary forces are now more becoming like a politician private security company than a democretic force protecting the nation. PAPUA NEW GUINEA POLICE AND ARMY IS NOW SEEN AS A WEAKEST AND UNDISAPLINE FORCE IN THE THE WORLD!!!

PAPUA New Guinea’s 2012 General Elections is currently being conducted under the Marshall Law and people of PNG are now living under the same law.
This is from one of PNG’s longest serving lawyers, former President of the PNG Law Society and executive of many elite organisations – Kerenge Kua.
Mr Kua in an interview in Kundiawa told the Post- Courier that PNG was being run under Marshall law, which was a very dangerous trend for the country which is supposed to enjoy democracy which is instilled in the Constitution.
“I am simply talking about people living under dictatorship,” Mr Kua said. Right now, we are living under the Marshall Law and this election is undertaken by the Marshall Law.
“This election is conducted under Marshall Law which is simply dictatorship. I say this because this is the Government that’s been installed and propped up by the barrel of a gun. Its leaders are being escorted throughout the country under heavy security forces heavily armed, it’s happening,” he said.
“The O’Neill Namah regime brought considerable shame from and to the citizens under the barrel of a gun in this country and is now evidently seen by the people in PNG and overseas.
“Papua New Guineans abroad no longer hold their head high as Papua New Guineans and I can tell you that there’s not much difference by the O’Neill Namah regime and Bainimarama in Fiji.
“The behaviour of the O’Neill Namah faction in my observation is that they continue to indulge and engage in activities that are enforced by the barrel of the gun. This election is dealt with-financial in return, millions of kina in cash without shame are handed out and in broad daylight.
“My solution for all of this is that once this election is completed, a government must be called to be formed without the use of disciplinary forces,” Kua stressed.

Kerenga Kua, you are a real man. You had the guts and balls to state what you wanted.

You have said what 99.99% of PNG want to say but cannot with guns blazing army and police around.

This election is about threats from those that want the country for themselves.

If GDP is going to grow 3 times, that means alot of MONEY will flow into the country and out.

In southern highlands we are watch by O'Namah forces, in the name of stupid policy " safe and free election"..We cannot excecise our democretic right to vote freely without the barrol of the gun. Government is the only one that cause uncertainty and insecurity in this election .There will be major fruad in whole of PNG this election. This will be caused by Government themselves with the aid from secretly paid group in the disapline forces.

I personally tend to believe that the heavy presence of security personals in the highlands therefore is purposely to ensure election is conducted smoothly without any disturbances. It is customary come election season that security personals are deployed to ensure elections were conducted without trouble.

Besides the last political term was ended up in a very high drama involving the judiciary and legistature. This could be related to heavy security prescence.

Also during previous elections, many lives destroyed and homes damaged, especially in the highlands therefore to minimise this to happen again security is boosted

However, from what i read in this blog i was persuaded to beleive that heavy security presence was purposely to protect O'neil/Namah interests.. TRUE??!
