who's the fatty whitie Gerard Philip who says he will develop Simbu?

June 15 2012 at 11:38 AM
man nating

Is he for real or (likely) another carpetbagger racing for the gold, knowing that one of the golden 109 seats in parliament is the key to becoming a multi multi millionaire?

ALL of them say they're going to bring development and enough of our people are stupid enough to believe those empty promises.

I know the fella owns any of Kundiawa that the koreans don't own but apart from his business interests, does anyone know da scoop on this fattie whitie? Like how many wives (or boyfriends, one never knows these days) he has, etc etc?

Simbus don't be stupid. Gerard is neither from PNG nor Simbu. He's a criminal who escaped to Simbu and set up TNA flight services which had been providing flight services to parts of Karimui and gradually became what he is today. National Intelligence Organisation (NIO)flew to Kundiawa few years back to conduct investigations on him after getting advices from overseas counterparts. Do you know where he saved all the money generated in Simbu over the last decade??? That white man had criminal records from his native country and came to PNG for refuge. He was investigated last time by Kundiawa CIDs for producing phonographic materials which were circulated offshore. Most females between the age of 18 - 25 years old participated in those productions and were sold to other countries for good money.

Why are we supporting a man like him? Is it that Simbu's are lack of leadership qualities? Is it because he owns most of the businesses in Simbu? He is good for doing business but not politics. Politics belong to Simbus and only those who has the peoples' choices would be our governor. Indeed Simbu produces the best leaders in PNGs political history. Gerard doesn't have the leadership credibility to represent Simbu. I can't believe those voters who supported him. It is their constitutional rights to elect a candidate they want but not this alien. Simbus don't be fooled by this alien race. My appeal to you all out there is to elect a true blood of home grown Simbu.

Maybe this guy is playing the Peter Yama game - when your own businesses are failing, you quickly try to become a pollie because that gives you the opportunity to steal and revitalise your businesses before they totally collapse.

Why are we papua new guineans so stupid in the 21st centuary. why we always like to vote white-man to be our representative?????. We still have this nature of "kago boi blo masta". EHP vote white-man pinis and now she wants to vote konkong, morobe wants to vote white-man, NCD vote white-man,and now Simbu's we want to do the same.

Everywhere, everyone in PNG they want to put white-man to parliment, and also ol bustad pikinini blo white man, which their fathers came to PNG and have sex with local women in the night clubs, along the road or as baby sitter..
This clearly shows that we cannot run our own country any more, we will be slave in our own systerm of government and our people. We must no that we are independent nation and we must trust our own country men and women. And choose the right person to represent us and run the country.!!!

People must wake up now from the "white men mentality" This is really a "cargo-cult mentality" which our fore-fathers use to have we they first saw a white skin person. and They usualy think that he will bring a good-fortune to them.

You are very right and it IS a cargo cult kind of mentality.

However I think the reason why it has come back so strong is because our own countrymen did trust our native born leaders to look after things.

Unfortunately as a group they have failed us miserably in looking after money and infrastructure properly.

Thus too many PNGs don't trust black skin PNGs anymore to look after these things and they're going straight for white people.

I partly agree with you anon. But if this is to do with business or project management i will give 100%. But with politics and managing a Province like Simbu is a totally different thing. I support our brothers in the first few lines of postings. Simbu is not a white man province. Yes, they can grouw in business and give more tax to our province but not in politics. We have the brains of PNG and the world. We dont need a white fella. All those oldies are gone. Today is the generation of the True Blood Simbu.

Gerard Philip: for him, at least for now

June 22 2012, 7:37 AM

I understand the Simbu blood and PNGean blood in you all, I envy that.
I would only like to share some other perspectives too: Mr. Philip's reputation and history (or current stories) that was outlined previously were just heresays, you know, one story going from one person to the other, everytime gaining additional flavour and colour. Mind you, I love to hear these stories too, but I wouldn't believe them and take them as a determining factor for the race in which he is in. And besides, who is the perfect candidate here without a sin? Everyone has their imperfections, mistakes, failures, downsides, whatsoevers. So please, don't start with this lovely stories/accusations again. I'd rather appreciate some feedback on his intentions, motives and maybe some li'l justifications as to why these would be bad for his race.
Oh and by the way, I'm sorry to say this but: I think I've lost confidence in Simbu politicians (don't ask me why, cuz you and I know very well why). Simply seeing the successes of Mr. Philip's business in K Town I think he can apply this simple, yet hard, things in his developmental plans for Simbu too. Starting firstly with effective use of TIME and MONEY. Tell me of someone whose smarter with these 2 resources and I'll defintely get my whole tribesman to vote for her/him.

Bro, yu mas tambu blon em. Stop pretending bro, we don't want to experience introduced species dominating our environment. This is bad for you and me.

What ever discussed about his life are true and not out of neglegence. Read from what you said I presummed you just met the white man. You need to do proper survey before misleading Simbu. My advise to you bro; let him run the businesses and pay tax to PG and provide employment to us. Those businesses were generated and developed in Simbu from our money not from else where. We need to involve him in other activities but not leadership of Simbu. He's not our blood understood, he's a foreigner don't be fooled my frined.

My friend, I appreciate your feedback. Let me suggest a reality check here: who, of the ones contesting the Provincial Seat has done well with Time and Money? Please, share. I'd love to hear it.

A baby sense you are who knows no history; the past, the present & thrpossibilities of the future. Its not in the hands of people like Gerard or Dr Waine. Leadership and stewardship of the people of Simbu & PNG belongs to the person filled with wisdom and the heart to serve others selflessly. Both Gerard & Clement have shown otherwise. Only one vcandidate has shown he has the qualities and done right to win

If what you said was actually the case, we wouldn't have elected all the scumbags who have served as our MPs up to now.

So what's your point, sister anonymous?
I'm still waiting for someone, or you for that matter, to supply me and the rest of Simbus with the name of the candidate that posesses these qualities of time efficiency and proper money management, that's all. If you can't do that, might as well excuse yourself from this space.

Re: Gerhard Philip

Simbus, this is a reminder, we are last on the GST scale in PNG. This should tell us that we do not need leaders who will be stealing from us. By the way, the provincial government realy does not have development grants disbursed to it by the National Goverment; only recurrent budgets that sometimes leaves our ancillary staff without pay. I am troubled by our candidates promising change. We need a governor that can talk with our Open MPs to get something tangible going in Simbu. Please vote for candidates that has a team of "Think Tanks". It is high time we used the good brains of Simbu. Please, it is not the one candidate that will change our stalled course into progression; he/ she really has to have his team. Managing people is a huge undertaking.

Simbus, vote people who are honest about making mistakes. Yes we may need schooled people..or paramount leaders...or tribal warriors....to lead us. I would rather a good leader; any one with a good father in the home has a better home than with a schooled father who doesnt have the time because he is too busy with his work or paramount leaders who are taking care of peoples affairs and don't have time for his own family... or a tribal warrior fighting for his people and has no time for his family.

Vote for a good father. He must have a good family who has discipline. His family reflects his management ability; this is important...
