GOROKA MP Thompson Harokaqveh was attacked by a mob last Saturday as he was travelling to a village near Goroka town. Police said a number of vehicles escorting the MP were severely damaged. One of his supporters sustained injuries after they were ambushed and attacked near Segu in East Goroka.

In another incident, Eastern Highlands governor Malcolm Kela-Smith had to cancel his rally last Friday after an unruly crowd hurled rocks and sticks onto the podium at the Goroka National Park last Friday.

That crowd who turned up against Thompson Harokaveh (and to some extend Mal) was heavily bribed by Beldan Namah when he came down here. Namah campaigned against PNC, and therein Thompson Harokqaveh. And gave K200 000 in cold hard cash to that crowd. That is why they acted unruly.

50 million Kina was given to Thompson Harokaveh to pay hospital supply, of that 50 million, the only thing that came from it was a lousy container load of some cheap hospital products. Estimated price value of all would amount to no less the 1 million kina. Thata is why the crowd was angry. Then they was funding given to rebuild the burnt down Goroka Sec Science lab. As of now no work has began and no body knows where that Money went. That is why the people were angry with Harokaveh!!!
