Sorry to say that I voted four times this morning. All my first votes went to Governor Olga. He's the bomb! All my friends are voting him. He'll be back big time. No trouble so far except at Bomri and Koglamb where Duma's and Sanangke's voters are wrestling. Army deployed to all booths. Will update more.
Ol the owners of Coaster Buses doing businesses in SHP and Hela regions of the world must all vote in for Olga. No Pais------His a thief and greedy,self fish pollie.
No Nogorr, his good Academic but not a developer, reformer and a innovative leader, and his Old Winghty's crony.
If all coaster bus drivers from Hagen do not vote for Olga, be warn that all your buses will be burnt down in places where you get your businesses running.
So just simply vote in Olga, his smart and intelligent, his perceptive, assertive and wise. He is not emotional and shortsighted like other young leaders of his term.
I beleive Olga be a better governor for Western Highlands if he is voted in for the second term.
Leadership qualities are not born with, they are developed through time and effort.
Olga got the potential to become the smartest governor for WHP and also other sister provinces like Jiwaka, SHP, Enga, Hela, Simbu and EHP will definitely benefit from Olga.
Such young leader like Olga, who is quite and assertive over situations get small step at a time by starting to develop smart things will later build up and become a very smart and intelligent governor.
Please I'm crazy for this guy who WHP big business tycoons and politicians called him small boy will lead WHP for 2012-2017 and beyong.

you might be a village boy so thats why you are talking within the confinements of your environment. You don't even know the importance of WHP to the other smaller sister provinces. Western Highlands Province is our bigger sister province and is in the central location of the Highlands Region. I know what I am talking about and I have all right to say what I am saying.
Your mindset is too narrow and could hardly capture the bigger picture choosing a leader for such a economic hub of the Highlands Region.
Such a mentality of yours will vote in stupid and corrupt leaders which will result in mismanagement and corrupt practices.
Western Highlands People and rest of the Highlands Provinces want a good governor in the caliber of Tom Olga to lead our bigger Sister Province. Not Holloguns, or whatsoever you name them!
Western Highlands is the pride of all the Highlands Provinces. No matter what most of the people from the other highlands provinces will one way or the other benefit from the development and leadership of Western Highlands.
That is why we need to elect a good and visionary leader, Governor who has the heart for all the highlands people rather than only the Western Highlands People.
You can't even give us any details or solid evidence to support your opinion that Olga has this immense leadership potential that you're telling us.
Why is it that you're so certain that Olga is so smart yet you can't give us any specifics?
It makes me think that your just another one of those mauswara people on pngscape of which we have a zillion already, who actually know virtually nothing about the substance of the candidates they promote.
The question isn't who is going to win. We all know that in PNG the unqualified and the corrupt are as likely to win (or more likely) than the qualified and honest.
Winning an election in PNG means nothing in judging a person's qualifications and character. Money does the talking.
The question is why you so strongly promote someone who you can't even give much substance or details about. How can someone who supports a candidate so strongly not even be able to describe in detail the evidence that led them to supporting that candidate?
My point is Tom Olga is a new comer to the political arena and he has to go through many challenges in order to become a good leader.
I just stated that leaders do not just appear over night as many impatient people think. olga, though was a very young man atlesat has managed to go through court battle with Wingthy and within the 9 months he atleast did something to show Western Highlanders that he has the heart to deliver.
So I want him to continue from what he has started and stopped from now. If elect a new governor, then it will take another five (5) years to put his house in order as he or she will be going into parliament with new developmental policies.
That would be a waste of resources and time. As a result, the people of Western Highlands will loose out of the changes/processes.
Therefore, it is wise and good for the people of Western Highlands that the sitting governor goes back and complete the full next term.
Then WHP will know the leadership qualities or the full potential of Olga.
If you still don't agree with me, then we must understand that whoever new governor that get elected in 2012 will not miracolously deliver as most narrow minded people think. It will take time and more effort and always alligning with the right government to get what your province or electorate needs.
So we need to have the foresight to consider all possible factors that are likely to affect the MPs ability to access to funds and deliver development and services on time.
Most of the times, politics does not work out in the way that people expect.
Cut the rhetorics. It is up to all Western highlanders to vote wisely. Poor leadership has set Hagen on a reverse development trend. Don't muck around, be realistic, be pragmatic, and be futurisitc oriented. PNG is moving on and WHP needs to do the same. WHP will be king pin no longer when O'Neill returns. The LNG Highway linking Enga/Hela/SHP/Gulf/NCD will render Hagen a wasteland soon enough. WARNING: The PM can make or break this from happening (or is it inevitable?!)

It was already in the minds of the people and no matter O'Neil or who ever becomes the PM the project will still materialize as long as these three provinces are the garden for the PNG Government.
Ofcoourse, there is already an envious feelings in the hearts and minds of most of the citizens of these provinces because they have always being mistreated on the land of their bigger brother, Western Highlands.
From their hearts, they understand that WHP is the big brother's home which the people have helped them built to the state where it is now but the big brother never appreciate what the smaller brothers do to build and decorate their land.

Sorry. The law of the world is that wealth flows OUT of natural resource areas and flows TO areas where trade and wealth can flow in all different directions. Thus, ever since mechanisation and extensive air and road corridors, rural development has been collapsing in most of the world, while the coastal cities grow and grow.

This is the internet. People can put God into whatever discussions they want. It's now a free world, nobody controls anyone, especially in PNG where we don't have to follow any laws we don't want to and we can do what we like. Thanks to the leadership of the fantastic Peter ONeill.
Helas are naturally leaders in building districts, provinces and towns. The qualities are in the blood. They love their land, like to work with the land because they were born from the land.
They were already advanced in agriculture and building even before the Europeans arrive on our show...
Helas has been building other peoples' places and as a result those places are developed. But the truth is that many of the custodians of places that Helas built do not know how to build their own land.
So HELA, SHP and ENGA will go back to their land and build their own provinces.
Therefore, we need intelligent and wise leaders who can be able to capture the aspirations, visions and dreams of the people and empower them to utilize the knowledge and skills they have learnt while been as nomads in other places, districts and provinces of Papua New Guinea.
If it was gonna happen, it would have already happened.
Don't forget there are many countries in the world that have been independent for 100, even 200 years or more (especially South America) that are still called 'developing' countries and are still far far from being truly developed.
In fact, some of those 'developing countries' that have been independent for centuries are pretty much like PNG.
If things were gonna develop in Hela it would have already happened.
Being at the end of the road and inland is the kiss of death. Look at Wau.
you are correct in some ways. However, no one can denny the fact that Hela is indeed the garden for PNG.
Unfortunately, Hela was still in the stone age when other Highlands Provinces were developing. Hela never realise that his province was rich in Hydrocarbons but just recently.
All these times, Hela left his home land and was developing other provinces like the WHP, ENB and Port Moresby.
And now we see Western Highlands is urbanized and already the economic point for the highlands region. It is the Helas, Southern Highlanders and the Engans who have built your city.
You Western Highlanders don't know how to built your city. These very hard working people will go back to their land and develop them as they did to other provinces. They have the skills on how to develop cities and towns.
You just wait and see how Hela will develop.
Hela will move because we have heard enough of negativities, threats and bad comments from other Papua New Guineans and the world.

Yes, you may be correct that WHP is the king bin of SHP and ENGA. But remember that the people of these two provinces are the basic building blocks for Western Highlands Province to become the economic hub of the highlands region.
If I were you, I would appreciate them for they have built up Western Highlands to be where it is now. We need to treat them with with respect rather than just making boastful statements.
The Southern Highlanders, Engans and the Helas know how to build cities like Mt.Hagen, Kokopo, Port Moresby etc....they are the people on and of the land. Without them Western Highlands should not be where it is now.
So bro, what do you think when Helas with its World rated LNG Project with other potential reserviors for developments, the Soutern Highlanders with Kutubu, and linking to Western province and Enga with giant Pogera Gold Mine elect a visionary and intelligent leaders to represent the provinces in parliament????
The leaders who could understand that their very own people mobilize to develop Western Highlands and create the environment for the people to move to their provices and empower them to develop their own land.

After several billion in LNG grants and Minig royalties landing in SHP & Enga, what have their leaders got to show the rest of PNG?
SHP/Enga people flocking to other provinces is simple: there is no evidence of physical development on the ground to entice them to stay and participate in the development of their provinces. Pity, that trend will continue despite the existence of Exxon Mobil and PJV in these provinces.
By the way, Peter O'Neil does not have the magic wand and more so, he will never be the PM after this election.
For your information, Paias Wingti made O'Neil PM. Wingti made Sir Ogio do the unimaginable - Ogio fliped, reversed his decision on his appointment of Somare as PM and apologized to PNG after appointing O'Neil as the PM and left abruptly for Bougainvile.
WHP is still in control and will remain the king pin for a very, very long time, whether it be politics, business, or sports....ange mame...
The "Nationalist" has been living for the last 5 years with his head up his arse... obviously Tom Olga has been feeding him privately with honey. Parliament is not a training ground for you to get experince. Simple people are suffering for basic services just because a dumb mute is in Parliament who is trying to get experience... are you kidding me?
When, we wanna vote someone, we want them to be intelligent, wise, and who can talk aggresively for and on behalf of his people, and deliver the services and maintaining the existing ones. It does not matter if he was there in his first term or was there for the past 20 years, we want these services to be continuous. Tom Olga had his chance, and ****** it all up. The truth was, Olga didn't win, Somare and NA ensured all the counting officials were paid off to prevent Wingti from winning. Because if Wingti had won, the government would have been changed on day one. And Olga can't use the "i was in court" excuse because thats just absolutly crap. He had his chance. I hope Paias Wingti or Gabriel Pepson wins.
On another note Mt Hagen, the so called third city in PNG, looks really ugly, infact there is no words to describe the shocking state of the city. If we think it is the jewel of the central highlands, lets have some pride, take ownership, and use the grey area between our two ears to do the right thing. Nothing will change if we don't change ourselves..
