Can someone in the know update the counting progresses up there? How are Peter Kengemar and Dr. Clement Waine doing? I heard an unknown person leading, what's is qualification and what are his visions, if he can make known to the Chimbu people before diving into the shallow pool just beside the Hause Tambaran would be acceptable by all i think. All I'm saying is not underestimating anyone but the TIME! I mean it’s timely to send either of these 2 fine men in, I want to see a CHANGE in the course of the ship!!!!!!!!!

Teachers, HEOs, Priests and govt officers: are simply NOT good candidates..(period!). Their records speak for themsleves in PNG politics.
As an outsider following closely the Chimbu Regional seat, I predict a futile 5 yrs if Simbus vote in an ex-teacher, ex-kiap, ex-provincial govt officer, ex-HEO or a priest, etc, just because of their local popularity or religious attachments/alignments. We must realize that except for the legacy of Sir Michael Somare (a teacher) and Fr John Momis (a priest) in the past, people of such calibres/trades described above have over the years had had very bad records all over PNG as elected members of Parliament. Many came in but with very little to no real change or constructive efforts torwards real development and change in their respective electrades or changes in nation building.
Today's PNG needs leaders who must not only understands what the small people's needs are or the Law (like we have voted in a good lawyers so far), but this country must also have leaders who have the brains and real world experiences to deal with new changes being brougt forward by technology and new system of multinational & corporate control in all our resource industries which affects this country very much the past fews and more so into the 2020 and beyond. In my humble and most honest oppinion, the best choice for Simbu and PNG, to be a leader and highest technical person in the floor of parliament in 2012, would be Peter Kengemar. This I speak based on the for the following reasons also;
(1). Stable Family man:
A humble family man, with one wife and highly organized/orderly kids speaks a lot about the nature of a man who can lead, but knows how to control his backyard well. He is a man of purpose and authority and speaks with wisdom. Such a man will have clear and heartfelt focus for the people, small communities and the country;
(2). One of the Very Highest Technical Brain for PNG and Simbu today:
Kengemar is one of the finest PNG international exports who is on par with the worlds best technical experts in the field of Petroleum Geology, Oil & Gas Exploration & Development, and Drilling Engineering, where high risks money are played. When dealing with all matters of Petroleum Exploration and Development, top skills in management, financial, technical, future planing or focuss, and communication is HIGHLY PARAMOUNT TO SUCCESS OF THE OPERATION. There is no place for mistakes in such costly operations. And we PNG and Simbus must be proud that we have one our sons who knows what it takes to do such work and amougst the worlds elites;
(3). Have Experiences in Giant Oil & Gas fields of Midddle East:
If you ask, what is the epitome of working in the Oil & Gas industry? It is the Middle East. You Simbus must be proud to have Kengemar who has worked as a Geosteering Engineer for Saudi Aramco in the world's giant Oil&Gas fields of Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates. He has also worked in drilling horizontal wells in South Africa, knowledg that NO OTHER PNG HAS TO DATE, and has very good knowledge of the local fields of Kutubu/Moran/Gobe/Hides and InterOil's giant Elk fields.
Kengemar is a person who lives in modern day world, world of cutting edge technologies, who knows international politics and policies, understands the advantages & disadvantges of certain style of governance and policies, etc, from the many countries he has worked in and can bring back what is useful to PNG and Simbu. Kengemar has what is takes to be with the worlds best, but yet remains humble always and have deep visions for change for PNG and Simbu. His connection back into Simbu and PNG rural areas remains true and strong today;
(4). Assisted InterOil to ELK Discovery:
One of the few geologists to worked closely with InterOil to discover PNG giant gas field called "ELK 1" in Gulf province. He was the only PNG national to be physically "lifted up" by Phil Mulacek in front of the then Sir Moi Evei, the DPE secretary, where Phil Mulack (InterOil CEO) proudly spoke of Kengemar to all the PNG govt officials for the work he did and faith he has in InterOil's Drilling targets (reservoirs).
(5). Geologists with an Engineer's Brain:
He was promoted early in his work as a wellsite Geologist for Chevron Niugini to become the Operations Geologist in late 90s to early 2000. During his stints with Chevron, one of his most memorable engineering feat was "despite not being an engineer, Peter designed a fishing tool that was used by the drilling rig where it was sent 3000m into the deeps of the earth below to pull out a Halliburton Drilling bottom-hole assembly that was stuck for more than a week and was costing Chevron over USD100,000/day. His design's success was a thing that was much talked about even after he left his post with Chevron to work elsewhere;
(6). Real change is his vision:
His is the first PNG to take the risk to push Department of Petroleum & Energy to stop giving Oil exploration license to foreigners, but let our own companies or nationals to explore and drill the last remaining reserves of Oil and Gas. He knows the petroleum systems of North New Guinea very well and knows where the vital targets are to drill possible gas/oil discoveries. PNG has sold this country away for its Mineral and Petroleum wealth. We therefore need to elect leaders/candidates like Peter Kengemar to come back and lead the Mining and Petroleum sector of this country to bring resource exploration and development back to the people of this country. All the present ministers and secretaries in Mining and Petroleum and "just paper and rubber stamp" of all foreign multinational interests. Real people who know the trades of such industries must get in there;
(7). Serve BOD PNG Correctional Service Institute
One of his no known position was he also served in the Board of Directors/Council for PNG Correctional Service Institute;
If you Simbus put in teachers, kiaps, priets, local govt officials etc, known only because of local popularity like many other provinces past and present, then it is very futile mistake and will cost you for the next 5yrs. Kengemar in my view, is YOUR BEST CHOICE FOR CHIMBU REGIONAL. Olgeta narapla nogat.
No doubt Peter Kengemar is technically sound in his expertise and I wish him all the best. However, Politics is a game of popularity he must first win the hearts & respect of Chimbu to apply his expertise on the floor of parliament.
Popularity is gained through many channels and is received differently by different cultures.. Personality, Relationships, Wealth and recently Bribery seems to be honourable & acceptable.
Outside Observer- time for marketing your candidate is over, I suggest you respect the people's choice and dont classify and catergorize candidates like you do. They have the right to contest election and they are leaders in their own right.
The difference between the leading candidate (NK) and the secound place candidate is some 23000, divide that by the seven candidates yet to be eliminated- catch him if you can!!!.
Go Yalba- Supporter- Keu Junction
First of all, I hate to wake you up but campaigning time is over. Even voting time is over. And counting time is also almost over. So I fail to see you reasoning.
Secondly, you have painted the picture of a true PNG coconut, thoroughly white on the inside, who buys into everything white people tell him and effectively has become their Yessah man, their tea boy. Tell me one example when he ever went against masta. huh?
We have enough of those in parliament already we don't need any more.
Man!!U cant get it do u?????? Yeah we all know the time frame now is changing and we want high qualified, accademic, top shots in the parliament and its not only u wishing for such person as Peter Kengemar.....
The lesson here for u such people is that politics has got its own culture and you want people like p.kengemar in the future u got to groom them to play it by the eccepted and expected norms of politics to get into the parliament......but for now i guess Noah Kool has qualified for the politics arena so he is chosen by the people of Simbu so sit back and watch him for this five years to come.......
U tell all ur high profile savemen in simbu that if they want to bit N.KOOl in 2017 they will hav to leave their jobs elsewhere and go back to simbu and reside in simbu for the next five years and do what they gotta do to gain their popularity and let the simbus scrutinize them know the kind of person they r and only then the political world will become theirs...... if theycant leave their high profile lives to prepare for parliament in 2017 I suggest u tell them not to come back for second time around...its not their kind of world.....
Dear if u look at my comment closely i define my posting for N.Kool and thus i did not mean those corrupt norms that we see majority of our power hungry individuals play>>>>> With politics we have the hausman leaders like noah kool, we have the prominent bigman who sometimes in their lives has been workin in the beaurocratic system those who accumulate wealth through business and has made fame to get accquainted to the technical know hows of the corrupt dealings in politics with personnels assigned to the election process from point A-B and thirdly the intellectuals all of us modern generation wish to see in parliament....
My comment was for these intellectuals to go back home and groom themselves to the way of politics that the people accept and expect like being a leader in representing them and make people get to be around you for a while and have confidence that you will lead them and dat does not mean u leave ur job or residence somewhere and come home but in preparation wise you got to start representing ur people in small terms like u know we have our cultural and social obligation- eg: sending money for funeral arragements, school fees, bride price or small projects that will benefit people out of our own pocket or seeking funded projects from other org. at least u let people c what u can give and also many people prefer those who humble themselves regardless of their expertise or wealth or accademic record and can smile and say hello and remember their names and call them by names only than they know you will represent them.
I am talkin about the way of being a natural leader....... not a forced one over night by corruption......
And to add to ur comment: honesty, ethics and christianity can not go together with politics in png....maybe somewhere else but in png u can be a very ethical, honest, christian but when it comes to politics you will play a little bit of dirty to win!!!!! Religion does not blend with politics........if someone uses chritianity in his/her campaign during political campaigns I would say that would be a fat lie........
Looks like 3/4 of your brain is dead, or else you must be probably disillusioned with too much dirty politics that YOU ARE ONE OF THOSE THAT SEE'S NOW WAY FORWARD FOR SIMBU AND PNG.
Noah Kool was to be a great leader 15-20 years ago when he first contested for Governor seat. Today he is backward by 20 years....mark my words Noa though we all respect him as a "man blo ples" leader, he will achieve NOTHING in the next 5 years. Simbu will be back 20 years.
See the open MPs surrounding Noah today; all are with very high qualifications and with vast experience in work and business....only Noah is handicaped in all these areas. How do you expect him to perform???
All the Waigani beaurocrats are NOT VILLAGE LEADERS but ellites and thieves....you HAVE TO speak their language...do you think Noah can???
Get your FACTS right to the present age....its not time for Coooool Noah....he is out tooo cold.
Sori but these are the basic FACTS.
DONT BE A FOOL....BE A GOOD SIMBU AND SPEAK SENSE AND WRITE SENSE.
I got my facts right about what made NK won this elections and the facts you outlined is yet to come. Don't judge by the cover of the book....politics is another field and all these man of different caliber went in to be initiated into the political culture of waigani so let us hope that the charisma NK has as a leader will guide him to choose his offis bearers with merits and experience in leading them to perform for simbu and png.
For now......relax.....until we see he perform and we shall talk more
So at the end things turn to be the same i mean if he is in the system i think there is noway peter can do to standout from the thieves and psycho, most definatlly he will be engulf by those spirits that existing in the haustambran.so png remain the same.i ask the simbu people to keep a closer look and encourage our current governor for servics.
Simbus and wantoks...so far Noah is so lost with what he is supposed to be and what he is now. He is now tasked to deliver for the province and so far he has not lined up any policy or directive to where he wants to take the province. He is being feed by half-baked 4kona street cons. So sorry but the province will go back 20 years....unless he is removed from the seat and someone else gets in technically. Watch as the ball game rolls in 4kona town.
I am sorry to tell u that u r one of those dumbs that can't contain your patience. The game just started so you sit back and relax...Kool is still doing something under the scene so u will see the result when he comes out. If you expect things to be productive instantly, I bet u r a dullard..
My friend, I urge you to calm down, sit ur *** and just watch him perform... If ur not satisfied you can just grind your teeth and wait for five years....!!!!!!!!
