You know very little about the real world. What state is Cuba in? Why is India's economy booming, yet hundreds of millions of Indians live in dire proverty (answer: cheap, cheap cheap labour for the world!).
Singapore has Chinese, not Malaysian culture, a sense of utter landlessness in such a tiny piece of land that forces its citizens to work hard to survive.
The way those countries are (or aren't) have very very very little to do with who their leaders where. You need to become a lot more informed about the topics you're throwing out for us.
