On campaign trail and leading up to the eve of polling period - its an example of bribery at its bery best. He has donated/pledged to almost every village in Rigo. The last one before this was at Gabone village where he gave K50,000 cash and K500,000 in pledge towards their new church building.
MEMBER for Rigo open Ano Pala has given a truck and tractor to a group of villagers to help them transport their farm produce to the market.
He visited 10 villages in the electorate in a bid to retain his seat.
A big reception was organised for him at Matairuka village, Central province.
Pala also launched a new solar power system in the village.
On his visit to Saroa, Pala responded to concerns raised by the villagers.
“As a public officer and a leader, the number one thing you have to do is, do not rubbish other people,’’ he said.
“You do not lie to the public and you do not misrepresent the truth. That is why being a leader requires sacrifices.”
Pala assured Boregaina villagers on his visit that “Rigo money” went directly to the villages.
“After these elections, I will ensure that Rigo money goes directly to the villages. I will bypass Kwikila because that money is your money,” Pala said.
He said in the next five years, Rigo could achieve many things.
At Gabagaba village, he said: “I’m feeling very confident. We set a fast pace and a really high standard all the way so I am feeling very comfortable.”
