Just wondering what kinds of products people are using on the hair for hold, the wet look, etc. One of my favorites for hold is a hairspray from Clairol called 3-in-1. It's a hairspray with conditioner and sunscreen in it.

The one thing I will point out is that there is alcohol in it for those that avoid products with alcohol.

I use American crew pomade plus there styling cream, a bit of dax wax to flatten the sides down helps with the blend and Schwarzkopf gel to spike it up. Im not bothered wether or not if it has alcohol in them . Have not had any problems so why not, i do condition fairly heavily and use a deep clensing shampoo to clean the product of the hair. I go for a kind of faux hawk whaen i first attach then maybe 3 to 4 days in i change it to more of a 40´s 50´s heavy greased down look.

I hear you Torsdag, I was petrified of alcohol at first because back when I started wearing everyone was saying never to use a product with alcohol listed as an ingredient. Thinking back though, a lot of folks years ago were just finding online hair and the great prices....they were used to pieces from clubs that were costing them a fortune and they probably wanted to stretch them out as long as possible (understandably so).

I started using hairspray with alcohol and I didn't notice the hair fading any faster...and I've never used that much anyway, just enough to lock in my style.

Nothing against those that don't use products containing alcohol, like anything it's a personal preference and some maybe do notice a quicker fade with their piece if they use a product w/ alcohol, etc.

I like Paul Mitchell Wax Works. Does a bang up job blending the sides and back. Also has a nice scent.

Hi Ravid. I use so little that my tube is probably a few years old, almost gone, so thanks for the heads up about a formula change. Are you in the states? If so I bought it at CVS.

Hi Craig yes i live in the states but i think i bought mine online. Just did a google search. i know it last forever , I had that tube for like 3 years
