^ Excellent comment. I've seen the "tude" from parents of girls playing boy's hockey as well. Most times, when "THAT girl" finally shows up on a Girl’s AA team, it is lunch bag let-down man. Good yes, but not great and not the best by a longshot. This goes both for skaters and tenders. Again, there are always a few exceptional girls, like maybe .05% - 1% of the girls playing boy’s hockey, but it really is overblown when they come back. To each their own. I've only seen 3 or 4 girls come into girl’s that truly deserve the "hype". |
