I do have hyperpigmentation on my upper lip.

I've used OTC hydroquinone creams in the past and it has helped. I used it for scar on back of my hand from a cut and scar on my forehead from a nasty pimple. I've had the hyperpigmentation on my upper lip for several years now and last winter I consulted a dermatologist who recommended the hydroquinone BUT not while TTC. It was shortly thereafter that I got PG and that pushed off going that route for another 9 months. Just this week I saw the NP at OB's office and she looked up the hydroquinone for me and told me nope - can't use it while breastfeeding. So I'm left with Hope in a Jar or something of the like so long as it doesn't contain retinol (also not good when BFing).

Maybe I'll look into the photo facial stuff, assuming it's ok to do while BFing. I plan to nurse until 1 year and that puts me at August...which means summer sun and me having to endure the spots getting even darker! The sun just makes it ten times worse!
