With all the yuck going around and difficulties so many are going through I wanted to share some good news. Ok, since it's about me I will be a bit general so friends who want specifics either you already know or you need to e-mail. hehe
I was just musing on how only a few years ago I was on this board talking about how I had no work, a husband (now ex) who wasn't working and many other difficulties.
Well it just stricks me as one of those interesting things of life that only a few short years ago my life seemed such a mess.
Now I am not only working but am now placing ads to hire people. My business is doing very well (some of you know what it is). And well, it's hard to discribe having been through such a diffciult time now being able to help others obtain work. It's not a lot of jobs I have a small business. But, it is expanding. It seems so odd, I am incredibly excited to be having my frist interviews as the interviewer. Having to go through what my bussiness has to offer them, what I am looking for , etc. And personally I think they will be getting a great deal.
Oh and yes, originally when I took this job I didn't own the business. I am now a partner which is why it is now mine as well as one other's.
Ok, I am sure some of this makes no sense. It really came down to how quickly our lives can change in all directions.

Life has funny ways of coming at us sometimes. Often the worst situations turn out to be a blessing in disguise. That's the attitude I'm hanging on to right now as I look for another job.
I wasn't really happy with my previous job for the past few years, but never actually got up the ambition to start a serious search. Now I have no choice, but I know that when the dust settles I'll be better off for this experience.
Glad things are finally working out for you. Good luck in your new business!

Who knows, you might end up doing something completely different, putting your skills and knowledge to good use that also makes a bit of cash as well.
One of my staff is a re-hire but in a different way. I asked her to come back as contract. I am trying to help her utilize her skill in a way to be able to contract with other offices as well. That is, for her to obtain her own business rather than working for others all the time. Plus a few other things she is more than able to do and will eventually help her become financially set. Anyway, my hope ( and I hope hers as well) is that we both get a win-win out of this. I already know two other offices that can use her services. Anyway, it's a bit hard to explain. I just hope with our help she can have her own lucrative business.
There is actually a lot more. I have a lot of friends here (the one mentioned about one of them) and , well, it just seems with all these friends and support things have really turned around.
So, I think you will do great!!!!!! Your too smart and skilled to be unemployed for too long. Get Creative!!!

And I am sure things will get better for you as well. I know it's been baby steps and very difficult. But I do think about you and your family often and keep trying to send positive energies.
