While I do agree with most of your points, The word "Actor", has now been used, for many years, to describe both the male and female genders in film and live theatre.
Wether you're from the "Old School" , Or "The Politically Correct" "New School", the word "Actor" is the now the norm.
I do differentiate however, with the differences between "Madonna" and "Ricky Martin".
But that's another story.
