Shenanigans –

After Brian Kazarian’s goal at the 18:00 mark of the second period, Colin Doyle and Jonathan Durno got in a shoving match and as Doyle backed away, J.J. Dickie jumped in and wrestled Durno to the ground. Penalties were Doyle, Dickie, and Durno, the 3Ds, 2 minutes, each, for roughing .

In the middle of the third period Andrew Hawke and Chris Parkin slashed and punched each other along the boards. Penalties Hawke double minor 2 mins roughing, 2 mins slashing; Parkin double minor 4 mins for roughing.

Notes:

The game started and finished with intensity. Many have predicted that these two teams will meet in the OLA Major final to represent the East at home in the Mann Cup.

Brampton prevailed tonight with more maturity, but a younger Brooklin team did not quit and made the game close right to the end.

Kevin Dance was on the floor for the warm up, but was not dressed for the game.

Dan Teat, Jon Harasym, and Chris Driscoll were not dressed for Brampton as were Brad Reed, Wes Suddons, Darryl Gibson, Cam Woods, and Jason Crosbie for Brooklin.

Luke Wiles is playing for the Barrie Senior B team.

Terry Sanderson was spotted talking to Jonas Derks before the game. Is a trade in the works with Akwesasne?

Postscript to Saturday’s game between Brooklin and St. Catharines. When Prout and Skinner were initiating a scrum of all the runners on the floor, Nash and Roik threw the ball back and forth the length of the floor to each other. The goaltenders’ union prevailed. Let the runners do the roughing, we’ll keep warmed up, much to the delight of all the fans in attendance.
