Notes:

A typical early season game played on a slippery floor.

It took some time for Huntsville to get into the game. The Hawks were very tentative in the first period and it appeared that they could not play even strength with the Gaels. The Gaels were a bit faster and bigger.

Huntsville scored 5 of their 6 goals on the powerplay. Luke Walton deserved player of the game for Huntsville as he was very effective running the powerplay.

Both coaches got some ideas on what they have to do next.

Former member of the Gaels introduced on the 60th anniversary were Bob Hanna, Doug Luey, Charlie Marlowe, Chuck Li, Ross Jones, Mike Lewis, Joe Krasnaj, and Stan Cockerton.
