Shenanigans:
On a hot and humid night both teams did a lot of whacking and hacking but nothing serious. Martin and Wiswell kept things under control.
Notes (The way I saw it):
The Merchants scored on their first two shots and chased Cole Murray from the net with 4 goals on 6 shots. It looked like the Merchants could open up a big lead, but Craig Robertson kept the game close and allowed the Nitro to come back one goal down at the end of the first period. Good up and down flow by both teams.
Half way through the second period and for the third period, there were numerous stoppages for wet spots on the floor. These stoppages added about 25 minutes to the length of the game and interrupted the flow of the game.
A typical tight playoff game in the heat and humidity of the summer.
