Today's Greeks had nothing to do with the Hellenes, with Herodotus, Homer, Hippocrates,Plato, Plutarchus, Demosthenes, nor with Isocrates. So why do the Greeks call themselves Hellenes, and say they speak the Hellenic language? The Hellenic language had nothing in common with the present day Greek language.
Homer, Plato, Herodotus Hippocrates never said "Me kopo" which translated to Hellenic is Vareo pani, in Greek Ke pion parakalo in Hellenic Ti de. In Greek you say Den to sikono in Hellenic Ou gar fero go.
The Hellenic language and the Greek language are totally different just like Macedonian and Chinese is totally different. Today's Greeks are made up from other nationalities, such as Romany, Turks, Macedonians, Jews, Vlachs, Albanians, Bulgarians, Armenians.
Please do not misinform the world that Greeks speak the same language as the Hellenes spoke. You can say you speak Grekika instead of Hellenic, which would be the truth. Your country at the United Nations is registered as Greek Republic not Hellenic Republic.
Also stop lying to the world that in Greece Macedonians, Turks, Albanians, Roma, Armenians, Jews , Bulgarians do not exist.
Face the reality since you are a member of the European Union.
