Subject: Greece in 1924 said the Macedonians
On September 29, 1924, Greece signed an agreement with Bulgaria
declaring that the Macedonians in Greece were Bulgarian. Not to
disappoint the Serbians, when they found out about the Greek- Bulgarian
agreement, the Greeks changed their mind and on August 17, 1926,
declared that the Macedonians in Aegean Macedonia were in reality,
Serbs. But the Macedonians told the world that we are not Bulgarians,
Serbians, or Greeks but Macedonians and nothing else.

VMRO was headquartered in Bulgaria in the 1920's and they were screaming to anyone who would listen that all Slav-Macedonians were Bulgarian. Mirsikov, who lived in Sofia at that time, was saying the same thing.
