My cousin was born in Tashkent USSR and emigrated to the Republic of Macedonia. She needed to register in order to attend school and so she had to translate her birth certificate from Russian into Macedonian. She did this, her place of birth was written "born in Tashkent USSR". Now a similar event happened to my friend whose son was also born in Tashkent USSR. He emigrated with his parents to Aegean Macedonia (Greece) and as previously stated you have to translate your birth certificate into Greek to register for school. They did this but unlike in the Republic of Macedonia, the Greek government wrote that he was born in Greece instead of in Tashkent USSR .
Both families immigrated to USSR during the civil war in 1946-1949. It is amazing that a country like Greece who is a member of the European Union since 1981 is still doing such atrocities. Even to Macedonian people who emigrated from the Eastern countries and the European Union does not put any pressure on Greece.
They are treating Greece like they were kings of the world. The European Union can send a person to Aegean Macedonia (Greece) to see for themselves how the Greeks treat the Macedonians.
There are no Macedonian schools, no churches. Macedonians are not allowed to baptize a child with a Macedonian name, we are not allowed to restore our original first and last names. The Greek government changed our names without our consent, the Macedonian name Jovan Trendov became Ioannis Trendopulos. We have no human rights as Macedonians. The Macedonians in Aegean Macedonia (Greece) want human rights from Greece not new borders.

An atrocity is when someone dies in a horrible way

None of your fictional characters died in your fictional story, which doesn't make much sense anyway probably because:
1) it's fiction, and
2) your English isn't good enough.
Will you please post the story about the tour bus in Vienna, Austria? Pretty please???

The ancient Hellenic heritage has been stretched to such extremes, it has become a subject of ridicule around the World. A free society cannot continue under the shadows of ancient glory and myth, the chains of Hellenism have compromised the sense of freedom and reality. The concept of self-criticism is a remote idea from the national Greek psyche.
