ADVICE FOR THE GRKOMANY (HELLENISTS)

( The advice which Giorgi Todorovski, the author of this article, offers the Macedonians could very easily apply to the people of all nations who have been assimilated by the Greeks from 1829, since Greece became a country for the first time, to the present. )

A Hellenist in Macedonian is a Grkoman or a “Greek-macedonian”, as they like to be refered to, in English. A Hellenist, by definition is someone who clearly is not Hellen but wants to potray him/herself as one because they don’t really identify with their own kind.
Hellenists are people of various races, including Macedonians, whose forefathers have been assimilated by the Greek Church and the Greek State. They can speak the non-Greek language their mother or grandmother taught them but can”t explain why. Even though they speak this language at a rudimentary level and can’t really express themselves through it, they still have deep affections for it and it is sacred to them. If you try to explain it to them they will tell you they would rather not know. When these people are confronted with the truth they are incapable of defending themselves. It is hard to defend oneself against the truth when the truth is close to ones heart.
If one cherishes the truth then one should be eager to learn more about oneself. But these people refuse to. It is a heavy burden to have to live with a secret forever. This equally applies to the Serbomans ( Serbian-Macedonians) and (Bulgaromans (Bulgarian-Macedonians).
-It is a shame that you have been assimilated but a greater shame that you allowed yourselves, your children and your grandchildren to forget who they are and where they belong.
-you have fallen into a deep coma and are sleeping, intoxicated by the allure of the ancient Hellenes.
-Wake up and stop believing in the Greek shadows, they are not living and vibrant like your true culture, they are not real and have been dead for centuries.
-Come out of the darkness, come out of Plato”s cave and see the light.
-For the sake of our existence, stop hiding the truth about Macedonia.
Stop washing with our blood the lies of our oppressors the Greeks, Srbians and Bulgarians.
Stop demeaning our Macedonian nation, language, history and culture.
Stop feeding the propaganda machine of those who assimilated you. They are not your friends.
Stop selling out your beautiful Macedonian heritage and demeaning your Macedonian brothers and sisters.
Stop shaming the Macedonian people and the Macedonian name.
Cleanse yourselves with the truth and help your people, the Macedonians, rid the burden they have endured for a century at the hands of the Greek and Bulgarian oppressors.
