Greece braced for a fourth day of riots today after the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old boy by police triggered underlying anger over the Conservative government's economic policies and the worst rioting in decades.

We've collected a few of the most dramatic photos from the Greek riots.

This recent photo taken at an unknown location shows 15-year-old Alexis Grigoropoulos who was shot by a police officer who opened fire after youths threw objects at his car on December 6, 2008. Hundreds of people protested through the night in central Athens and the country's biggest cities after the teenager was killed. (STR/AFP/Getty Images)

Riot police fought running battles with hundreds of protesters outside Greece's parliament on Tuesday while the opposition socialist party called for elections to end four days of protests. THE TRUTH OF THE MYTH

The ancient Hellenic heritage has been stretched to such extremes, it has become a subject of ridicule around the World. A free society cannot continue under the shadows of ancient glory and myth, the chains of Hellenism have compromised the sense of freedom and reality. The concept of self-criticism is a remote idea from the national Greek psyche.
