Recently Italy, a member of the European Union, bought from Macedonia 20 tonnes of lamb meat. So Macedonia
shipped 20 tonnes of lamb meat to Italy. Italy refused to accept this shipment because the exporters name on the
shipment was written "Republic of Macedonia" because this is the constitutional name of the country from which
the shipment came. So a European Union member is forcing Macedonia to change their name to FYROM if they
want to do business with them. Economically Macedonia is being squeezed to death by neighbouring countries
because of the pressure Greece puts on these countries.
No country has the right to do this to another. Macedonia has never harmed a neighbour. And now the European
Union is letting Greece make the rules whether they are right or not.
The European Union should look into the practices of Greece within the European borders and then should decide
who is right or wrong. The law in the European Union should be changed. The majority vote should win. Greece
will always vote against anything to do with Macedonia.
