Regarding the passports of Greek citizens, why does the Greek government
insist on forcing people to write as their nationalities that they are
Greek? There is more than 1 nationality living in Greece. There are
Turks, Albanians, Roma, Macedonians, Jews, Armenians, Bulgarians,
Vlachs, etc. Why do all of these people have to say that they are of
Greek nationality?
Even in Albania, you are allowed to put on your passport your proper
nationality. You are not forced to write down that you are Albanian if
you are something else. In Albania there are Macedonian schools and
churches and also Greek ones. Why in Greece are there no schools or
churches of any other nationality?
In the Republic of Macedonia all nationalities living there have their
own schools, churches, newspaper, radio, T.V. Just as in the government
all nationalities are represented by their own people. This should be
possible in Greece also some day soon.
