In 508 B.C. a democracy was established in Athens, by the Hellenes. All
free men can participate.
Greece became a country in 1832. Why did they not adopt the democracy of
the Hellenes? Greece does not have any democracy. Since 1913 the Greeks
occupied Aegean Macedonia. This is the type of democracy the Greeks had
for Macedonians: They suppressed the Macedonian language in 1936. They
erased the Macedonian writing in the churches and wrote Greek writing on
top to cover it. In 1926 the Greeks changed the names of the Macedonian
people. This is the non-existant democracy the Greeks have for the
Macedonian people.

the Greeks suppressed Macedonian long before 1936..they forbade Macedonian in the streets in the north in the teens and twenties...my greatgrandfather was the police chief in Zhelevo and was arrested as a proMacedonian in the late 20's

The ancient Hellenic heritage has been stretched to such extremes, it has become a subject of ridicule around the World. A free society cannot continue under the shadows of ancient glory and myth, the chains of Hellenism have compromised the sense of freedom and reality. The concept of self-criticism is a remote idea from the national Greek psyche.
