If Cyril and Methody were really Greeks then why, since the Greek occupation of Aegean Macedonia in 1913, were the icons
of these saints destroyed? The eyes in these pictures were poked out. Where the icons could be removed easily they were
destroyed. If Cyril and Methody were really Greek they could not possibly have invented the letters in the Macedonian
alphabet that are pronounced sh, dj, ch, dzh and others. This is simply because the Greek language does not have these
sounds. A Greek cannot pronounce words with these letters as mentioned above. Example: fish and chips, a Greek would say
this as fis and tsips, for church a Greek would say tsrts. Any one can tell the difference between and real Greek and a
Macedonian just by there language. Also by there appearance. Most Greeks are dark and hairy because there origin is from
Turkey.
