| I would like to make a point that if the Macedonian people were truly Greek,
then why did the Greek government change the first and last names of the
Macedonians in 1926? If the Macedonians were Greek there would be no
need to make any changes. Examples of names changed are (first the
Macedonian name and second the new Greek name): Dulba Nanovska became
Olympia Nanopulos, Trpo Savevski became Demosthenis Savopulos.
In 1913, when the Greeks occupied Aegean Macedonia the Greeks also
changed the name of the land from Macedonia to New Territory, then to
Northern Greece and recently to Macedonia. This recent change back to
Macedonia is only to cause never ending problems with the Republic of
Macedonia.
Greece will never learn that the mistakes they have made are
known all over the world. They can no longer hide. Why would a country
such as this be allowed membership into the E.U.? Why are the lack of
human rights for the Macedonian people living in Aegean Macedonia not an
issue for the other member countries of the E.U.? Macedonians living in Bulgaria,
Greece and Albania all suffer the same fate. None of these Macedonians have their
full human rights. But all nationalities living in the Republic of Macedonia have their human
rights. They have their own people in parliament, they have t.v., radio, schools, churches , newspapers and
so forth. All Macedonians deserve these same considerations.
