I guess "Soviet" is more accurate. Here's my build of the Anigrand 1/144 Tu-128 "Fiddler". Simple construction, just vac'ed the canopy and put in a couple aircrew. Small scale subject of the largest operational fighter...

Herb,
Your building skills rock - especially the canopy area! The "Fiddler" is one of my favorite FSU aircraft.
Take care and keep posting your builds.

paint specs

Primer was Mr. Surfacer 1000, and I used several coats since the panel lines were pretty deep. Paint was just Floquil 'Old Silver' with a coat of flat. The access panels were rectangles of silver decals, also flat coated. I understand these aircraft were actually finished with a protective silver paint, so I didn't want a natural metal effect.

And I vacuformed a new canopy, because you're right about the Anigrand supplied items...

Cheers,
Herb

hmmmm....

Well, the club theme next month is "Heavy Haulers", so it's got to be big, although small.

And so we enter the zen of small scale modelling...

Night putting with the Dean's daughter,

HyperScale's 1/144 Scale Group Build Guidelines

The objective of this Group Build is to encourage as many modellers as possible to build their kits and share their progress via words and photos on this Forum.

You are welcome to post general construction tips or relevant reference information and photos to this Forum too.

This Group Build will feature 1/144 scale (and smaller than 1/144 scale) kits.

  1. Build as many kits as you like

  2. Conversions, aftermarket and scratchbuilding are all permitted.

  3. Any markings are acceptable.

  4. Document your progress and do a write-up on your build - where did you have trouble, what improvements did you make, what markings did you choose and why? It would be GREAT if everyone would do a writeup and submit it to HyperScale as a Feature Article.
