Sorry ... my responses haven't gotten posted for some reason. Anyway, my answers are below.

1. Is it hard to find housing if I bring two small dogs? What might that housing cost?

Many people bring there animals. Don't think it will be a problem. They won't be allowed to "roam" and you should know that the closest vet is on St. Martin. There is a guy on the island (Michael) who can help you.

2. How do the loans work out as far as Stafford and some other form. How much a semester if max all possible loans out (the other is Terri??)?

Can't answer this one.

3. ANy decent clinical sites (approved) in Michigan where I could finish all my clinicals (to be near spouse/home)?

I am in Lousiana and you can do everything here.

4. How are calls made on island? AUC everyone uses cell phones and call back service...must we just use reg INT. calling from a land line at SABA? How much is the cost of this? Are lines in most apts?

Every place has the line, but you'll have to have the service hooked up. You will have to put down a $500 deposit for a landline and, despite popular belief, you will get it back. Some people use cell phones because there is no deposit. We used the internet for most of our communication via email because calls are expense. There is a call back service and Alita at the school can help you.

I really could use some help (I like the smaller atmoshpere at SABA but the above questions will help me make my decision.). AUC and SABA are my ONLY choice.

I highly recommend visiting both before coming. Most people don't and virtually all the people who don't like living on Saba did not visit before committing to come. There is little to do on Saba except study which can be a good thing ... for some, the isolation is hard to handle. I would recommend going home for every break and spending at least one weekend a term off island.

Good luck!
